Three stories with a moral

Some stories with morals are like paintings in which human virtues and weaknesses are drawn.. Their authors are unknown, but the stories have been popularized and enriched by people’s contributions, so that now it is not important who invented them, but rather the powerful message they convey.

Today We have brought three stories with a moral. The first talks about how a wise man gives valuable teaching to those who consult him. The second tells us about two friends and the meaning of friendship. Finally, the third of our moral stories tells us about a lion, the king of the jungle, who acquires an important lesson during a hunt. Without further ado, let’s look at each story in detail.

1. The wise man, the first of the stories with a moral

They say that, in an ancient kingdom, there lived a man who was known everywhere for his great wisdom.. At first he only advised his family and close friends. However, his fame grew so much that the sovereign himself frequently called him to consult him.

Every day many people came to receive his wise advice. However, the wise man noticed that there were several who went every week. The worst is They always told him the same problems and then listened to the same advice but they did not put it into practice. Everything had become a vicious circle.

One day, the wise man gathered all those frequent consultants. Then he told them a joke so funny that almost everyone burst out laughing. Then he waited a while and told the same joke again. He went on telling it for three hours. In the end, everyone was desperate. Then the wise man said to them: “Why can’t they laugh at the same joke several times? But can they cry a thousand times over the same problem? ”.

2. The two friends

The second of our cautionary tales tells us that, on one occasion, two great friends They decided to take a trip through the desert. One trusted the other blindly and felt that there would be no better company. However, when they were tired they had disagreements in their opinions.

From disagreement they moved to a discussion and from this to a heated debate. The situation reached such a point that, at one point, one of the friends hit the other. She immediately realized his mistake and asked for his forgiveness. Then the one who had been hit wrote in the sand: “My best friend hit me”.

They continued along the path and later they found a strange oasis. They had not yet entered it when the ground began to move. The friend who had been hit began to sink. It was some kind of swamp. As best he could, his friend reached out, putting his life at risk, and rescued him.

It was then that the boy, who had first been beaten and then rescued, wrote on a stone: “my best friend saved my life”. The other looked at him with curiosity, so he explained: “Among friends, offenses are only written so that they can be carried away by the wind. Instead, favors are engraved deep in the stone so that they are never forgotten.”.

3. The greedy lion

The last of the moral stories tells us about a proud lion who was hungry. He hadn’t eaten for a long time and his stomach was stuck together. He knew that where he was there was not an abundance of prey. He understood that He had to be patient and stalk very cautiously, because if some prey appeared and he lost it, he would not find another one so easily.

The lion stayed very still, behind a bush. A few hours passed and nothing appeared. However, when he was already discouraged, a hare appeared in a nearby area.. There was a pasture and the hare came out to eat the grass, unsuspecting. The lion knew that hares are very fast, so he had to launch a forceful and sudden attack. Otherwise, the hare would surely escape.

He waited a while and put himself on guard. When he was going to lay down on his prey, he suddenly saw that a beautiful deer was walking a few meters away. His mouth watered. In a couple of seconds he changed his plans and attacked the deer, which had had time to see him and started to run. The hare, of course, ran away. This is one of the stories with a moral that teaches us not to lose what we already have assured by what suddenly seduces us.
