These Desserts Are So Beautiful You’ll Be Sick To Eat (Or Not)

In addition to the taste, another very important aspect for lovers of good cuisine is the presentation of the dish – after all, we eat first with our eyes, right?

If you live with children, you probably know that it is often necessary to create works of art with food to make them accept vegetables, legumes and proteins.

But it’s not just at this stage of life that the presentation makes a difference! A neat, well-prepared dish with well-distributed food draws much more attention even when we are already quite big.

That’s why it’s hard not to be enchanted by the desserts made by a 16-year-old boy identified only as Jose. I mean, it’s not uncommon to be enchanted by a dessert, even if it’s not very pretty, but these here are wonderful.

The vegan teenager behind the desserts

Born in Lima, Peru, Jose is making waves on Instagram with his posts filled with colorful, mouth-watering cakes, pies and sweets. And one more detail: all the desserts made by the boy are vegan, which means that they do not contain milk or eggs, among other ingredients of animal origin.

In an interview with the Daily Mail website, Jose said he became a vegan at the age of 14 and decided to learn to cook. As he had a special preference for sweets, he specialized in the production of desserts, always using only ingredients within his diet.

Some of the substitutions Jose makes are replacing chicken eggs with a mixture of flaxseed and water, chocolate (which contains milk) with cocoa powder, vegetable oils instead of butter, and almond milk instead of cow’s milk.

To make a cheesecake, for example, he uses a mixture of chestnuts, frozen bananas, coconut oil and agave nectar – the latter in place of regular sugar, to make the dessert healthier.

Check out some of the most amazing desserts created by young Jose:

1. Strawberry Smoothie with Chocolate, Blackberry, Blueberry and Frozen Banana

2. Popsicles made with chia pudding, vegetable milk and butterfly bean flower tea, which gives the blue color

3. Strawberry and blueberry smoothies made from frozen bananas and butterfly bean flower tea

5. Layered Strawberry and Vegan Chocolate Smoothies

6. Vegan Chocolate, Cherry, Chocolate, Blackberry, Blueberry, Strawberry and Passion Fruit Cheesecakes

Jose’s creations are so inspiring that his mother and sister also decided to go vegan. However, even with such success, the young man is not sure if he wants to continue in the culinary career.

“I still don’t know what career I’m going to pursue. Art is something I’ve always liked, but I also like math and languages. Whatever I do, I want to inspire people to be healthier and spread tolerance.” Surely, many people are rooting for him to continue making these beautiful desserts for many years to come.
