The right amount of protein you should be consuming each day – it’s not the same for everyone! – GOOD SHAPE

Do you wonder what exactly is the amount of protein you should be consuming? The recommended daily intake is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight – 48 grams for a 60 kg woman. This amounts to about 10% of daily calories. To get your recommended daily intake, multiply your weight (in kilograms) by the number 0.8. Since amounts are different for every individual and lifestyle, find out how much you should be consuming:

if you are very active
That means getting at least 35 to 40 minutes of moderate exercise four to five days a week, including strength training two or more times a week. If this is your case, multiply your body weight by 1.2 or 2. The result is the ideal amount you should consume per day. Protein, in this case, will help rebuild muscle tissue, especially if you do high-intensity exercise.

If you want to lose weight
Your body takes longer to digest protein than carbohydrate, which increases your feeling of fullness. Additionally, protein can help build more lean muscle mass.
