“The advice helps, the example drags”. Anyone who has ever watched the presenter Luciano Huck’s program has most likely heard him quote this thought. Known for the scenes in which he helps people on TV, he and his wife Angélica seek to exercise solidarity and respect for others, even in the most routine attitudes. And this is how the couple also raise their three children.

Angélica and Luciano Huck met there in the 90s, in a photo shoot. However, it was only in 2003, on the recording of the movie Um Show de Verão, that the couple fell in love, as the presenter told in his book. Since they started dating, almost two decades have passed, and the Huck family began to take shape with the arrival of the firstborn Joaquim.

Then Benicio and Eva arrived. And it was in the face of raising three children that the couple had to think about how to conduct awareness training, especially considering the privileged financial condition in which they live. The presenter says that they reached a balance by balancing all the comfort they provide with the encouragement for their children to understand the reality of the country and other people. She says she believes that “the head can be in the stars, but the feet have to be on the ground”.

When talking about the social education she offers her children, Angélica says: “I want to raise good people”. For this, the couple believes there is nothing better than serving as a mirror for the little ones. And, in this sense, the blonde says that her husband is, without a doubt, the greatest inspiration for the whole family and helps to cultivate the “pet” of solidarity at home.

According to Angélica, Luciano motivates them with his ability to mobilize so many people around a common goal. The presenter reveals that the children, when they see their father doing this, already offer to help, selecting their own belongings, clothes and toys for donation. So, says the mother, they are starting to do their part for a better society.

Still in pre-adolescence, the girl’s relationship with her brothers is proof of how this generation is more mature about equality and empowerment, believes the mother. “Eve imposes herself. Sometimes, she gives them some moral lessons and says: ‘Don’t talk to me like that’”, says the presenter.

Angélica reported in an interview that, from a very early age, her parents always talked about the importance of respecting people as they are. And that is what the couple continues to carry forward, in raising their children.

Whenever they are faced with a situation in which there is any warning sign in this regard, Luciano and Angélica make a point of talking to the children about the topic. However, once again, the presenter believes that today’s children and young people are more ready for mutual respect. In many situations, “they see and don’t even understand, they’re like: ‘What do you mean someone is saying that? How does skin color matter?’. This subject is so natural to them that even certain speeches make no sense”.

In order to gain the attention of their children and succeed in raising better people, in addition to setting an example and providing guidance in general, the couple is also always available to listen to each of them, respecting their particularities. So much so that Luciano describes in his book the characteristics of the three children and how he lives in a different way with each of the children.

Angélica points out that, more than physical presence, it is important for parents to be beside their children to guide, exchange ideas, listen to each other. In this way, she believes, bonds are built and strengthened every day. Parents are just proud and happy to see that their children are growing up and becoming, as the mother likes to emphasize, good people: “They become people you look at and say ‘it’s working!’”, she celebrates. .
