The humanitarian causes in which Rihanna is engaged show us her most altruistic side

Robyn Rihanna Fenty, better known as Rihanna, is one of the most famous singers in the world. Born in Saint Michael (Barbados) on February 20, 1988, Rihanna is now 32 years old and also stands out as an actress, businesswoman, diplomat and writer. The difficulties that the singer had to face in her childhood and youth awakened in her an enormous desire to overcome herself. 1. First altruistic steps

In 2006, Rihanna was just 18 years old and created the Believe association, a center that offers help to children with serious illnesses, such as cancer, AIDS and leukemia. The foundation provides needed supplies to needy schools that are not being properly funded. The association also collects clothes for children from families who are homeless and are in shelters. Her efforts and all of her work with the organization were recognized and honored in 2011.

2. A foundation with global reach

In the year 2012, Rihanna performed at the house of blues of Los Angeles to raise money for the Children’s Orthopedic Center and Artists Program Mark-Johnny Mercerenfrom the children’s hospital.

Also in 2012, the artist created the Clara Lionel Foundation (named after the singer’s grandparents). The foundation’s purpose is to provide assistance with health and education to the people of Barbados, especially those who suffered from Hurricane Dorian, a disaster that caused catastrophic damage in Barbados and the Bahamas. Every year the famous singer organizes a benefit gala called The Diamond Ball for the Clara Lionel Foundation. It welcomes a large number of actresses, actors, singers, singers and many other celebrities and the aim is to raise as much money as possible.

3. New causes and social alliances
