The Exciting Meaning of Babies Called ‘Rainbows’

You Brainbow babies are children who are born to a mother who previously suffered a miscarriage or who had a child who died prematurely. And, like a rainbow, they are that colorful light of hope after a gray storm.

The arrival of a baby after such a dark and sad moment carries an even more special meaning.

Who went through this situation was the baby photographer Ann-Marie Finnwho endured three years of fertility treatment and suffered two miscarriages before giving birth to her first child, Kate.

🇧🇷During the start of my business, the time came when my husband and I wanted to start having children. I thought that once we decided to have kids, things would just happen, but we quickly learned that things weren’t going to be so easy. I had a miscarriage in 2010 and our world was rocked. I continued my photography business and put my heart and soul into it. It was very difficult sometimes to photograph children when I wanted a baby so badly. We continued on our journey and soon learned that I had polycystic ovary syndrome and would need to start fertility treatments to get pregnant. I got pregnant again after starting treatments, but miscarried again”reported in an interview with the website Love What Matters🇧🇷

“Three years, two miscarriages and many fertility treatments later, I became pregnant with my daughter Kate. Our rainbow baby came and we couldn’t be happier.”says the photographer, who adds that she then discovered what the term was, and was even more moved.

It was then that, talking to other mothers who went through the same thing, Ann-Marie decided to use the inspiration for her work and create essays dedicated to these babies full of hope.
