This fantastic item can easily remove limescale buildup in holes even without using a descaler. But if the scale has been there for a long time, it may be useful to soften it using a descaler. Simply spray the shower head with any anti-limescale product and let it sit for a couple of minutes. You can also use a natural descaler such as citric acid, which is perfect for dissolving limescale on any surface. By the way, citric acid is also great against halos on mirrors and glass. Just add a little dish detergent and you have a homemade descaler.

A couple of minutes after spraying the descaler, we grab one of the pipe cleaners and start cleaning the different holes in the shower head. We insert the pipe cleaner, make a couple of quick circular movements and move on to the next hole. When we have freed all the holes, we will turn on the water and the pressure will be restored in no time. In some cases, the first stream of water will be a strange color, somewhere between brown and rust, let's not worry. The only thing that has dissolved is the lime that had accumulated, leaving the holes free.
