Female beauty, as we know, is a broad and multifaceted concept. Every woman is beautiful in her own way and standards change depending on the season, country and of course personal opinion. But the fact is that there have always been “dominant” patterns. In the 1990s, thin, fair-skinned women were at the height of popularity. Later, Lara Croft appeared on screen and introduced the fashion for the athletic body, full lips and small nose. Later, the world was enchanted by Kim Kardashian’s curvy body and striking features. However, even though these standards are still most sought after and publicized in blogs and in the media, the fight for the perfect body is less and less intense. Today, the so-called “noble face” (noble face, in English) is gaining popularity and natural beauty is gaining more and more space.

At the awesome.club, we noticed, in the magazines and in the fashion shows, a more than welcome increase in diversity. Yes, diversity and individuality are the words that, fortunately, have set the tone these days.

We are used to believing that the pages of fashion magazines and real life are, let’s say, parallel and excluding universes. But current trends are fighting this belief and reinforcing the idea of ​​natural beauty. O noble face is a new type of face valued among models of the generation millennial🇧🇷 The trend originates from the Chinese term gaojilianwhich translates as “noble”.

The female face considered “noble” has a broad forehead, an expressive look, natural lips, a harmonious nose and has never undergone surgical procedures. The main idea is that the woman does not need plastic surgery or injections to feel attractive. Seeing and valuing your own beauty adds a lot of points to your attractiveness level. These changes in the perception of appearance are in many ways related to the development of feminism.

For years, many Asian women have lived under pressure from society. They knew that to succeed in life, they had no choice but to get plastic surgery to change their face, sometimes leaving it unrecognizable. And so the eastern began to lose their individuality. To change this situation, in 2017, Korea passed a law stipulating that plastic surgery advertisements must be removed from subway stations (where the highest concentration of such advertisements are) by 2022. Also, at Shandong University of Arts and Design , in China, a new rule was introduced: candidates who underwent surgical procedures can no longer be enrolled in the institution. According to the academic board, surgical interference diminishes actors’ ability to express their emotions properly.

This type of face is characterized by a slightly androgynous, demure, intelligent and natural appearance. Beauty is determined by physical attributes such as drooping eye corners and eyelids and a natural shape of the lips and cheekbones. It is worth noting that makeup does not change the “noble face” drastically and that advancing age does not tend to excessively affect the concept of beauty when considering this standard.

One of the most brilliant examples of noble face in Asia is Chinese model Fei Fei Sun, which debuted at London Fashion Week in 2010. In 2014, she became the first Asian model to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine. She currently participates in fashion shows and is the official face of the Estée Lauder brand.
