Simple exercises that help relieve leg pain

Almost everyone has felt tiredness and pain in their legs. Sometimes they get very swollen, especially when we walk too much. This problem is very normal, especially in people who work standing for a long time or who are sedentary. But there are specific exercises that can help alleviate these symptoms. They don’t take long and offer a lot of benefits when done regularly.

Exercise № 1

Stand with your legs together. Stand on tiptoe, as high as you can, and hold the position for 30 seconds. Then return to the starting position. Do five to 10 repetitions.

Exercise № 2

Put your right leg in front, as if you were going to take a step. Rotate your left leg over your toes and remain in this position for 30 seconds. Do five repetitions with each leg.

Exercise № 3

Stand in front of a wall and place your hands on it. Place your right leg behind you, supporting yourself on your fingertips. Keep the other foot in front with the knee slightly bent for 30 seconds. Do three repetitions with each leg.

Exercise № 4

This exercise can be performed either standing or sitting.

Place a tennis ball under your foot. Pass the ball through the foot, from the heel to the toes. Do 50 repetitions with each foot.

Exercise № 6

Sit on the floor, keep your back straight and lift your legs. Put a belt or a piece of fabric around one of your feet. Lift your leg and hold it with your hands for 30 seconds. Do five repetitions with each leg.

You can do this exercise with both legs at the same time.

Exercise № 7

Place the toes of one of your feet on a yoga block or other similarly shaped object and try to touch your heel to the floor to lengthen your leg. Lean your body forward and put all your weight on your toes for 30 seconds and repeat the process with the other leg.

Do five repetitions with each leg.

Exercise № 8

This exercise helps to rest your legs and eliminate swelling.

Lie on the floor next to a wall. Place a towel under your back. Place your hands beside your body. Raise your legs and form a right angle to your body. Stay in this position for 15-20 minutes. Do this two to three times a day.
