See how the cast of “Lua de Cristal” is doing after more than 30 years

In June 1990, another film by the “queen of the little ones”, Xuxa, premiered in Brazilian cinemas. The famous “Crystal Moon” was a great success at the box office and one of the most successful films of the presenter’s career.

The team of awesome.club felt a certain nostalgia and, therefore, decided to bring you some curiosities and information about the feature and its actors.

The queen posted on her personal Instagram page a photo in which she poses next to her prince in the plot, played by Sérgio Mallandro.

And the “baby faces” of the two draw attention. Check out just how some of the main actors of the film have changed in these 30 years:

At the very end of 2017, the couple from the film met by chance in the USA. Xuxa and Sérgio Mallandro recorded the moment.

Rummaging the Internet we found some curiosities about the film. Just take a look:

1. The movie was actually called “Xuxa and the Invincible Gang🇧🇷 But when the theme song was ready, Xuxa ended up falling in love with it and thought it had everything to do with her story and the film. Then the title was changed to “Crystal Moon”. But in the chorus the paquitas still say: “we are invincible, believe me…”

two. At the beginning of the film, a girl sings a song with lyrics inspired by a Brazilian song called “A Menina e a Figueira”. If you’re curious, just click on the image below:

3. The film’s director was Tizuka Yamasaki. She repeated her partnership with Xuxa in several other films, such as “Xuxa Requebra”, “Xuxa Popstar” and “Xuxa em o Mistério de Feiurinha”.

4. On the day of the film’s premiere, viewers could pay for their tickets with a donation of one kilogram of non-perishable food. The movement was part of a charity campaign by the LBA (Legião Brasileira de Assistência) called “Donate to those who hurt”. In total, impressive collections were made. 450 tons of food.

5. The VHS of the film was released even while the film was still playing in theaters. At that time, it was quite common for Brazilian films to end up on the shelves of video stores long after they had been released in theaters.

6. For the DVD, which was released in 2001, Xuxa recorded an interview that was presented as making off in the extras. Only a portion of these DVDs were offered for sale, making them rare and expensive. Collector’s thing.

7. The soundtrack for Lua de Cristal was never commercialized. There are some pictures on the Internet of a CD or a vinyl record, but they are fakes.

8. There is a song that is listed in the end credits as part of the film’s soundtrack. It was even featured in the DVD re-release extras. But despite that, the music never plays in the movie. It’s Achados e Perdidos, by the singer Silvinho.

9. Bianca Rinaldi joined Paquitas’ team when filming was well under way. Because of this, she only appears during the last scene. But on the cover of the film, she stands out, appearing, alone, in a separate photo from the other Paquitas.

10. The film had its last rerun on open TV on April 8, 2004. That same day, Xuxa sang the song Lua de Cristal on her program “Xuxa no Mundo da Imaginação”.
