  • It has antiseptic action: when applied to wounds, the water extracted from the rose acts as a natural antiseptic, disinfecting and reducing the risk of spreading bacteria.
  • Tones the skin: deeply cleanses, renews and soothes the skin, as well as keeping it hydrated. Water can be used to soothe the skin after shaving or after the peeling procedure.
  • Improve menstrual symptoms: tea made with canine rose helps relieve menstrual symptoms and regulate flow. It is recommended to ingest it twice a day, 1 cup of tea in the morning and another in the evening.

How to make rose water

  1. In a glass bowl, place 1 cup of washed and dried rose petals;
  2. Add 2 cups of boiling water and cover;
  3. Let it rest for 30 minutes;
  4. Then, use a dish towel as a strainer, strain and place the water in a sterilized container;
  5. Let it cool down and keep it refrigerated until you use it.

It is important that roses are organic. In other versions, chemicals are usually used to preserve them, which can compromise their properties.

How to use rose water

1. As a facial tonic

Preparation and application: place the petals of 1 rose in a glass bowl. Add 2 cups of boiling water, cover with a plate and let it rest for 1 hour. After this period, strain, put the rose water in a container and take it to the fridge. Apply to face daily using a cotton pad.

Just a few drops of rose water, combined with desserts that contain milk, make the recipe very tasty and with a very pleasant aroma. In drinks, it can be used to make drinks and cocktails: just add a few drops and it’s very delicious.
