Ronda Rousey: 6 fighter habits you too can adopt –

At 28, Ronda Rousey is at the peak of her career. She is one of the most dominant female fighters in UFC history, going undefeated in 12 MMA fights. The last one, which took place on Sunday, August 1st, in Rio de Janeiro, against the Brazilian Bethe Correia, marked her story even more. After months of provocation, Ronda knocked out the Paraiba in exactly 34 seconds. Her invincibility was conquered with some tactics, told in a recent interview with ESPN, which you can also eventually adopt in her routine:

1. Bet on a powerful diet with organic foods:

To maintain her position as the greatest fighter in UFC history, Ronda Rousey chose a strict diet to strengthen her immune system, to get stronger, faster and, of course, much better in the Octagon. In the old days, Ronda had a big meal at night. Now, she adopts the Dolce Diet, created by former UFC fighter Mike Dolce, rich in fresh, natural and preferably organic foods. Twice a day, the athlete bets on a powerful shake, made with a beetroot, an apple, two carrots, four strawberries, a cup of blueberry tea, two handfuls of grapes, a lemon, a handful of spinach, a handful of kale, some parsley leaves, two celery stalks, two tablespoons of hemp seeds, two tablespoons of chia seeds, one tablespoon of coconut oil and a chard leaf without the stalk.

2. No lifting weight:

Ronda’s workouts are primarily focused on functional strength rather than weight lifting. The former judoka trains two to three times a day, and that includes boxing, cardio, judo, swimming, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, among other sports.

3. Do not take anything made in the laboratory:

Yes, it is possible to be in shape without taking supplements. The UFC champion does not take any kind of chemically formulated supplements, as many athletes do to gain an advantage. “If it’s been on Earth for 10,000 years, then I’m going to eat it,” she says.

4. At all times challenge yourself:

Are you wanting to change your body? So heed the MMA fighter’s advice: challenge yourself. She believes that if a workout is too easy, then it’s not enough. Ronda still guarantees that in training, she puts herself in a purposely uncomfortable position, at a constant disadvantage, as it forces her to improve in every exercise.

5. She has an addiction – and bets on green juice to fight it:

She is, yes, people like us, because she also has an addiction. Ronda told the nutritionist that it doesn’t matter how healthy she needs to eat, if she can have her coffee. To fight this little addiction, she drinks a powerful green juice with wheatgrass, parsley, cilantro and kale every morning!

6. Motivation is the fuel of your success:

One of the things that high performance athletes share is motivation, which is a powerful ally. Ronda believes that you need to force yourself to be motivated. Once the motivation is gone, you’ve already lost your edge. Fortunately, she has been able to maintain her mental edge over all of her opponents.
