Research reveals the secret to male attraction

Many people say that women are attracted to a man’s physique and sense of humor. Recently, researchers have discovered that for most girls, altruism is more important than muscle or the ability to laugh. That is, the ability to be supportive and help the other without a shred of selfishness.

During the filming of the movie Silver Linings Playbook, Bradley Cooper bought hundreds of winter coats for homeless people and gave them as gifts in person.

Scientists asked single Canadians how often they performed acts of kindness, such as donating money or helping elderly people across the street. Then they asked questions about their personal lives. The result showed that ‘good-hearted’ men actually had better luck with women. Either they had more girlfriends or the girlfriends had had fewer ‘headaches’ at the time.

In another study, scientists asked women to choose between two men, one for a long-term relationship and one for a date. Photos of several men were offered, some super handsome, others more ordinary (of course this is very relative). Half of them were in the habit of being charitable, the other half were not. This information came along with the photo.

For a one-night stand, women chose selfish but handsome men. For a long-term relationship, they preferred kind men, not caring if they were handsome or not.
