We know through scientific studies that the beginning of our existence begins long before our birth, these studies prove the existence of life already at the beginning of the formation of a fetus, but many times we forget that the first act we need to have to start living effectively is breathing.
I consider a baby’s first breath at birth to be the true passage of life. It’s the first decision we have to make.
And that’s when we give the real meaning of life.
In the face of neuroscience studies, we also know that our memories are stored in our brain according to the type of emotion generated in the face of the meaning given to each lived experience.
In fact, it is the key to who we truly are, because it is in front of that that we make our decisions, we act, we know what we are capable of, that we create our scale of values and, above all, what we believe in.
Filling the lung with air with our lung canal and the lung itself full of water, making an effort that was not necessary before, living before in a protected environment, receiving food and oxygen through the umbilical cord, in the dark and warm; and in that moment knowing the cold for the first time, lights in your eyes and having to take your first breath.
Leonard Orr, the creator of a very powerful breathing technique called Rebirthing or Renaissance says that at the moment of our birth a not so pleasant feeling is generated, a feeling of not belonging to this place. And in his studies he identified that this bad feeling is present in our lives especially in the most difficult times, in times when we need help and feel alone.
With the resurgence of this sensation in these critical moments, we end up generating what we call in NLP – Neurolinguistic Programming of limiting beliefs linked to identity, Leonard Orr names the Personal Law.
These limiting beliefs end up preventing you from reaching your goals, from believing that you are capable, that you deserve to be happy, etc.
Therefore, all of us, faced with this thesis, have a Personal Law, or rather, we have limiting beliefs generated from the moment of our birth and totally influencing who we are and the way we act; and as the name implies, limiting us in many aspects of our lives.
However, in the same way that this limiting belief was generated, there are breathing techniques precisely to transform and modify this limiting belief into an enabling belief, thus transforming the Personal Law into an Eternal Law, which will drive you for the rest of your life, helping you to achieve your dreams, unblock traumas, give new meanings and live a much happier life.
