Historical movie mistakes that even the most attentive fans didn’t notice

Particularly attentive cinephiles notice every detail while watching a movie. An incorrect name for a lake, gladiators with cars powered by gas bombs, nothing escapes the most detailed people! But many of these errors are so strange that most people probably don’t even notice them.

Incrível.club gathered 11 absurd errors from historical films.

The action in the film takes place in 1935, in Louisiana, United States. All death sentences in Waiting for a miracle were performed with an electric chair. However, in this region, this lethal method was not used until 1941.

This movie is about the English mathematician Alan Turing, who worked tirelessly just to crack the Enigma code. In fact, he had help from Gordon Welchman, a man who wasn’t even mentioned in the movie.

The US flag, with 43 stars, flashes in the film from time to time. But the action takes place in 1876, and this number of stars first appeared in 1891, when the states of South and North Dakota, Montana, Washington and Idaho joined the rest.

It looks like all is well in this excellent film about American astronaut Thomas Kenneth Mattingly. But he didn’t participate in the Apollo 13 rescue mission. In the photo above you can see the real Ken Mattingly and the movie screen, which shows the actor (Gary Sinise, who is in the middle) playing him in this mission.

In Wallace’s day, no one in Scotland wore a kilt or kilt. This outfit appeared much later. Also, warriors definitely did not paint their faces with blue or any other color paints.

This film is full of errors, from coins that were placed in the eyes of corpses (in those days they did not exist), to an umbrella with metal rods that appears over the heads of Paris and Helen.

When Jack tries to prevent Rose’s suicide at the beginning of the film, he tells her a story and mentions that he once fished in Lake Wissota in Wisconsin. But, in fact, this artificial lagoon only appeared in 1917, 5 years after the Titanic accident.

This movie only spurred distributors of conspiracy theories associated with JFK’s death. David Ferrie has long been accused of murder. In a scene in the film, at the Fontainebleau hotel, he makes a supposed “confession”. In fact, he never admitted to anything and always denied any involvement in the crime.

In the movie Gladiator you can see how the ancient romans carried a gas pump in their cars. In those days, they didn’t even have gasoline.

A good mistake can be found in Sofia Coppola’s biographical film about the life of the Queen of France, Marie Antoinette. It is unlikely that sneakers were a trend in those days.
