I do not want to be the only one rejected by you, you are my Mother, you are the sovereign of the heart of your Divine Son.

Yes, O Holy Virgin, do not forget the sorrows of this land; cast a willing gaze on those who are in suffering, on those who never cease to taste the cup of life’s bitterness. Have mercy on those who love each other and who are separated by discord, illness, prison, exile or death. Have mercy on those who cry, on those who beg, and give comfort, hope and peace to everyone! Heed, therefore, my humble supplication and obtain for me the graces that I now fervently ask of you through your holy Miraculous Medal!”

How to celebrate Our Lady of Graces novena?

The initial prayer must be said daily. Then, it’s time for the suggested reading for each of the nine days. Always end with the supplication, the 3 Hail Marys, the ejaculation and the final prayer.

Act of contrition: “My Lord, Jesus Christ, true God and Man, my Creator and Redeemer, because You are who You are, supremely good and worthy of being loved above all things, and because I love and esteem You, weigh me, Lord, for You. I have offended and it also weighs on me for having lost Heaven and deserved Hell. I firmly propose, with the help of Your divine grace and through the powerful intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, to amend myself and never again offend You. I hope to achieve forgiveness for my sins, through Your infinite mercy. So be it.”

1st day: “Let us contemplate the Immaculate Virgin in her first appearance to Saint Catherine Labouré. The pious novice, guided by her Guardian Angel, is presented to the Immaculate Lady. Let us consider her ineffable joy. We will also be happy like Saint Catherine if we work ardently on our sanctification. We will enjoy the delights of Paradise if we deprive ourselves of earthly pleasures.”

2nd day: “Let us contemplate Mary weeping over the calamities that would come upon the world, thinking that the heart of her Son would be outraged on the cross, mocked, and her favorite children persecuted. Let us trust in the compassionate Virgin and also share in the fruit of her tears.”

3rd day: “Let us contemplate Our Immaculate Mother, saying, in her apparitions, to Saint Catherine: “I myself will be with you: I will not lose sight of you and I will grant you abundant graces”. Be for me, Immaculate Virgin, the shield and defense in all needs.”

4th day: “While Saint Catherine Labouré was in prayer, on November 27, 1830, the Virgin Mary appeared to her, very beautiful, crushing the head of the infernal serpent. In this apparition, we see his immense desire to always protect us against the enemy of our salvation. Let us invoke the Immaculate Mother with confidence and love.”

5th day: “Today, let us contemplate Mary releasing luminous rays from her hands. “These rays, said She, are the figure of the graces “that I pour out on all those who ask for them and those who bring my medal with faith”. Let us not waste so many graces! Let us ask, with fervor, humility and perseverance, for Mary Immaculate will reach us.”

6th day: “Let us contemplate Mary appearing to Saint Catherine, radiant with light, full of kindness, surrounded by stars, ordering a medal to be minted and promising many graces to all who bring her with devotion and love. Let us fervently guard the Holy Medal, for, like a shield, it will protect us from dangers.”

7th day: “O Miraculous Virgin, Excellency Queen Immaculate Lady, be my advocate, my refuge and asylum on this earth, my consolation in sorrows and afflictions, my strength and advocate at the time of death.”

8th day: “O Immaculate Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, make these luminous rays that radiate from your virginal hands illuminate my intelligence to better know the good and open my heart with living feelings of faith, hope and charity.”

9th day: “O Immaculate Mother, make the cross of your Medal always shine before my eyes, soften the pains of this present life and lead me to eternal life.”

Supplication to Our Lady: “O Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and our Mother, as I contemplate you with open arms, pouring graces on those who ask you, full of confidence in your powerful intercession, manifested countless times by the Miraculous Medal, although recognizing our unworthiness because of of our countless faults, we approach your feet to expose you, during this prayer, our most pressing needs (a moment of silence and to ask for the desired grace).

Grant, therefore, O Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, this favor that we confidently ask of you, for the greater glory of God, the aggrandizement of your name, and the good of our souls. And to better serve Your Divine Son, inspire in us a deep hatred of sin and give us the courage to always affirm ourselves as true Christians. Amen.”

Final prayer: “Most Holy Virgin, I recognize and confess your Holy and Immaculate Conception, pure and without stain. O most pure Virgin Mary, by your Immaculate Conception and glorious prerogative of Mother of God, obtain for me from your beloved Son humility, charity, obedience, chastity, holy purity of heart, body and spirit; obtain for me perseverance in doing good, a holy life, a good death and the grace of (a grace is asked for) which I ask with all confidence.
