“The idea is for the look to look like work and not a weekend look, so just wear it with darker flared or straight jeans, a shirt or top with a more elegant fit, finished off with an open parka,” says Danyla. The consultant also adds that it is better to compose the parka with pieces of neutral colors on the top to have an elegant and modern look. About accessories, Danyla indicates the most discreet ones for everyday life, but maxiaccessories can enhance the look for happy hour.

The shorts are pieces that properly combined, transit in all seasons of the year. On colder days, tights are responsible for this adaptation, and the look can be finished off with boots, such as velvet, for example, which are super trendy.

For a more tidy look, the shorts can be made of a more noble fabric like leather, for example, and the look can be finished off with pumps or strappy sandals. “On the top, under the parka, a sweatshirt for those who enjoy comfort or a sweater for a more elegant look,” adds Danyla.

Several models of skirts can be combined with parkas. On the more voluminous ones, it is recommended that the waist is marked, either by the adjustment of the drawstring at the waist of the parka or by a belt. This is a way to balance the silhouette, as parkas tend to be larger and wider.

About the length of these combined pieces, Danyla gives the tip: “Playing with the proportions in a look can bring balance in the silhouette, it is worth thinking that the hems, both of the skirt and the coat, need to have a small difference between them, even if they are centimeters, for example, the coat ends 10 cm below the skirt, this same rule to make everything more harmonious works when we talk about shorts and dresses”.

About the combination of the parka with flowing dresses, Danyla adds: “They look great with longer and closed parkas, to give structure and take volume out of the look. On the feet, heavier boots, flatforms, oxford, sneakers, or velvet boots can bring balance to the style.”
