My body is not from a magazine, but that does not define me

My body does not know the scalpel, my height and weight do not define memy life does not revolve around the calories I consume, I do not depend on my body mass index to be happy and I have an immense capacity to love and hug the people I love.

No, my body is not from a magazine. Me neither. But magazine people do not exist, most of the curves we see are the result of retouching and my personality never depended on what others thought of me.

My arms and legs aren’t completely defined, my breasts aren’t as voluminous as I’m supposed to like them, wrinkles are starting to appear on my face, and my nails aren’t always groomed.

This body is mineone in which the stretch marks begin to appear without making me shudder, in which the extra or less kilos do not condition my personal growth, in which I do not live as a slave to the lack or excess of curves.

I like to take care of myself but I can also eat a pizza or a cake without any regrets. That is precisely what allows me to not hate my reflection and feel proud of every inch of my skin. I consider myself perfectly imperfect, the result of my life experiences and my well-being.

There is life after the mirror

Your well-being is compromised when you avoid looking at yourself, exploring yourself and recognizing yourself in your own body, in your figure as a woman. You are not what an anti-cellulite cream does to you, it is you loving and knowing every corner of your body, understanding the reason why there is cellulite there or your ovaries are giving you trouble.

We are not safe with ourselves if every time we look in the mirror we scold ourselves for the fat on our thighs, for cellulite or for our wrinkles. We have to create a safe internal space for our body, instead of punishing and humiliating it.

We are much more than we think we are. Our interior contains much more than our intellect can understand.

You were born to be real, not to be told how to be perfect.

There is no woman more intelligent than the one who knows how to make herself respected. There is no woman more beautiful than the one who has a big heart. There is no woman stronger than the one who believes in herself. There is no woman more admirable than one who has dignity. There is no woman more elegant than one who is a lady. There is no healthier woman than the one you really know. There is no happier woman than the one who knows how to value herself.

It is not up to the world to pass judgment on the beauty of our curves. Our beauty does not depend on a few extra or less kilos, a molded figure or commercial hair.

There is nothing more feminine than a huge smile outlining a strong and happy look. Without lipstick or rouge, because a woman is much more beautiful naturally.

Perhaps we cannot ask our skin for the elasticity of youth or the presence of 40, but what we can achieve is a good smile when we look in the mirror or put on any pair of jeans.

Get naked every day as if your imperfect body were a poem. Make peace with him and put aside that personal war with your size and weight.

Because your worth, your enjoyment and the mechanism of your well-being depends on you. So to speak, only you can make yourself feel beautiful inside and out.
