Moroccan Brush: discover why the technique is so successful

Most women are always on the lookout for news from the beauty world, especially when it comes to hair care. After all, everyone wants to keep their hair beautiful and healthy!

After the great success of the progressive brush – a technique used to straighten the hair -, many other procedures emerged promising several benefits and less aggression to the wires. It was the case of the chocolate brush, strawberry and Moroccan brush.

The latter, by the way, has pleased a lot of people for nourishing the wires, leaving them super shiny and soft. “The Moroccan toothbrush is a low-concentration amino and formaldehyde-based toothbrush. It is indicated to remove volume and frizz from the hair, in addition to offering the benefits already mentioned”, explains hairstylist Viviane Siqueira, from Pierre Louis Coiffeur.

The ingredients of this brush, according to Viviane, are basically Moroccan oil, cream base, protein and amino acids.

Who is the Moroccan brush suitable for?

According to hairstylist Viviane, the Moroccan brush is excellent for curly hair, “because the procedure leaves the curls looser, more beautiful and defined”.

But the good news is that all women who want to can enjoy the benefits of the Moroccan brush. “It can be used on all types of hair and is compatible with all chemicals”, explains Viviane. Threads with relaxation, softening, progressive brushing and coloring can receive the procedure without problems.

According to Viviane Siqueira, the benefits of the Moroccan toothbrush last about two months and the cost is approximately R$300. However, it is worth noting that the values vary greatly from city to city.

Testimonials from those who are adept at the Moroccan brush

Bruna Fernandes, 27, an architect, says she is a fan of the Moroccan brush. “I decided to do it because my hair wasn’t wavy anymore and it was way too thick. My hairdresser recommended it and I loved the result: in addition to decreasing the volume, it added shine and highlights to my blonde strands”, she says.

Juliana Aparecida Romão, 32 years old, housewife, also really liked the result of the Moroccan brush she did about two months ago. “Although I have straight hair, it bothered me a lot with the frizz of my strands. As I love to test new things, I decided to make the Moroccan brush and I approved. I’m waiting a few more days and intend to do it again,” she says.

Moroccan brush step-by-step

Below, hairstylist Viviane Siqueira explains how the Moroccan brush is basically made:

  1. Wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo;
  2. 70% of the hair is dried;
  3. The product is applied to the hair;
  4. There is a 20-minute break;
  5. Finally, a brush and flat iron are made.

According to Viviane, the procedure lasts an average of an hour and a half. And, while other brushes require three days without washing the hair after application, the Moroccan brush has the great attraction of allowing washing even on the same day if the person wishes, explains the hairstylist.

After making the Moroccan brush, it is not necessary to use any special product for its maintenance. “It’s always good to use quality products and be careful about hydration, always! But no specific product is needed”, concludes Viviane.
