Meet the “bike muse” and her post that went viral on the internet

Carla Rovenne is a 25-year-old woman from Pará, married and the mother of two boys, who has a very dedicated husband, Alan. To pick her up from work, he cycles almost 40 kilometers daily. Carla posted this story on her Facebook profile and received tens of thousands of likes and comments, becoming known as the ‘Muse of the Bike’.

Carla works at a steakhouse that is almost 20 kilometers away from where she lives. The couple bought a used bicycle so that he could pick it up after the end of the day, as there is no ride available in the early hours, when his shift ends. He braves three hours of cycling on a busy road to get his wife home safely.

On December 23 of last year, Carla posted a message that went viral on the Internet showing her husband’s daily gesture. In the post she declares her love for Alan and her gratitude for the effort he makes, every day he leaves the children with his grandmother and begins his daily bike journey.

Its publication, of course, ended up generating a huge commotion of people supporting this small-great gesture of affection on Alan’s part.

Some of Carla’s followers even posted similar stories on the girl’s timeline, showing that gestures like this are more common than you might think.
