Meet Paulo Henrique and be inspired by his overcoming life

There are people who complain about life and give up on a dream when they encounter the first difficulty. And there are people like Paulo Henrique Nascimento Pereira, a 26-year-old resident of the city of Coronel Fabriciano (MG) who, despite all his limitations, lives with unshakable strength.

Paulo was born with cerebral palsy and six months premature. His mother had pre-eclampsia and was given up by doctors regarding her son’s chances of survival. But even in that situation, she already assured him that he would survive. Paulo has a muscle tone deficiency that compromises his motor coordination.

Even with all the difficulties, he has grown, developed and, for three years, he has been married to Amanda. The wife, incidentally, has cerebral palsy that compromises her speech. With difficulty finding a job, the couple was denied the right to receive INSS benefits — as explained by the page created by Paulo to receive donations on a crowdfunding site (virtual crowdfunding).

Paulo also has a YouTube channel called 70×7 with more than 2,000 subscribers and almost 50,000 views, in which he talks about love, gratitude, willpower and overcoming obstacles. He still does motivational speaking at companies, churches and other groups.

For the future, Paulo dreams of having his own house and getting out of rent; he would like to take a theology course and live off his lectures, showing the importance of facing life’s challenges in a positive way.
