iPhone SE, Apple’s new smartphone model, is small, powerful and cheaper

Apple today revealed its latest releases as usual at a presentation in Cupertino, California. The big news is a new iPhone model, smaller and cheaper than the most recent models, called iPhone SE.

The iPhone SE is 4 inches, that is, just over 10 cm – the same size as the iPhone 5s. It has a 12 MP camera, records 4K videos and has a flash function on the front camera, like the 6s version. It’s 50% faster than the iPhone 5s – the new version’s processor is the same as the iPhone 6s. There’s also the promise of a longer-lasting battery.

In the US, the 16GB iPhone SE will be priced at $399, and the 64GB will be priced at $499, and will be available on March 31st. In Brazil, the novelty should land at the end of May. To compare, the cheapest iPhone 6 currently costs $549.

At the same event, news were released for the Apple Watch, Apple TV and iPad – a smaller version of the iPad Pro, measuring 9.7 inches (24.63 cm) and the Apple Pencil, which promises to transform the experience of drawing on the iPad. We await the arrival of the news in Brazil!
