Ikea opens a store in Madrid to sell food and continues with home delivery

This service is available in two options:

Swedish Store

Those who want products from the Swedish Store can place their orders from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 10 p.m., and have the option of taking them home or picking them up at the store.

Restaurant

For those who miss Ikea’s famous meatballs, among other cooked dishes, the restaurant also allows you to place orders and deliver them to your home or pick them up in the store from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 8 to 10 p.m., from Wednesday to Sunday.

It is the first time that Ikea offers the food delivery service and everything indicates that it is a temporary solution, which will end when the new normality announced by the Government is reached.

And the news is that Ikea will open the Goya store starting Thursday, May 6, from 12 to 10 p.m., to sell only Swedish food products and taking all appropriate safety measures, something that the company has been doing since The quarantine began with its online orders. An initiative that, for now, can only be enjoyed by fans of Swedish food products in Madrid, since the Government announced that large stores such as Ikea will not be able to open their doors until May 25. Even so, we will be attentive in case the Swedish company finds an intermediate solution for the rest of Spain.
