Mother: Today is the last day of Rosita’s school year. She studies in the 1st grade and usually goes to school wearing a uniform, but today children can wear whatever they want. My daughter likes to study, but apparently she doesn’t like her school uniform very much. Frankly, I’m looking forward to seeing what she chooses.

Rosita: Mom never lets me wear accessories for school, but I really like them! I chose my favorite necklace and glasses: never before had I had the opportunity to dress so well for school.

Mother: These are her favorite T-shirt and leggings, which Rosita often wears to play in the backyard. Of course, I wouldn’t have let you wear that to school. Although I admit that the result was excellent, in my opinion the school uniform is more suitable for studying and helps to impose some discipline.

Mother: Today at school there will be a party to celebrate the end of the school year. Her younger brother helped her choose the set. Looks like he loves the jewelry box.

Rosita: I love this toy and for a long time I wanted to show it to all my classmates! Can I take it instead of the backpack? And these boots my mom bought me recently, but she’s put them in the closet and she still won’t let me wear them. Why do adults do this? They buy it, but they don’t let us use it?! But today everything is released!

Mother: It was a little chilly outside and it’s great that my daughter had a coat on. In general, I was surprised by Rosita’s choice. He would hardly allow her to wear the boots, especially to the school party; besides, taking a big white toy didn’t seem like the best idea. But I still like the way she dressed: will my daughter become a fashion designer?

Mother: Today the friends called Rosita to play in the park. Time is closed. I wonder what she will choose today.

Rosita: I am willing to wear this jacket all day and even indoors. Mom says I can spoil her in the park, but how beautiful is she, right? And the shoes are different, because the sneaker on the left foot was dirty and I didn’t have time to wash it. That’s how things are!

Mother: Rosita is very active and, because of her games in the backyard, I try to choose suitable clothes that can get dirty or damaged without any problem. But of course she wants to look pretty in front of her friends and that’s why we both have to give in. But I was surprised by the shoes!

Mother: On Thursday we decided to go to the movies, leaving the baby at home with the grandmothers. Rosita decided to look for her old dress, and to do so, she rummaged through her entire wardrobe. I admit it was a little unsettling to look at it, but I didn’t get involved.

Rosita: It’s my favorite dress since nursery school! It’s a good thing it survived, as my mother gave away many of my old clothes to her acquaintances. Ask her that.

Mother: Since she was a little girl, Rosita has loved to invent clothes for herself and her dolls using improvised materials. When she was younger, she found a garbage bag one day, poked a couple of holes in it and it turned into a top!

These days, rummaging through old photos, we found records of that top and Rosita decided to re-manufacture this piece that, nowadays, can be considered modern and ecological. In addition, there is a reason: in the evening we will have guests at home.

Rosita: In general, I don’t need clothes to be bought for me, I can make them myself. When I grow up, I want to be a fashion designer and please people with my ideas!

Mother: Rosita, of course, is an incredible dreamer! She made a very different set that I would like to wear myself. Two pairs of sunglasses: this is something new. Where do you get these ideas?

Rosita: It was the most fun week of my life! And if the first day was a little strange, then it became more interesting and fun. I would like my mother to let me dress myself in the future. It’s great!

Mother: Of course, I knew that my daughter is very creative, but I didn’t think she was so creative! I like how she puts the outfits together and it’s great that she’s not afraid to experiment and be herself. Perhaps I should be more aware of your desire to express yourself and show greater understanding in the future.
