How to use a pendulum

THE dowsing combines the power of concentration with the use of pendulums, instruments sensitive to any type of radiation, frequency and energy. This science, which emerged in the Middle Ages, is used as a resource to detect the presence of electromagnetic waves harmful to health, to locate underground waterways, find lost objects and also to obtain answers about life situations, as in an oracle.

The pendulum – by definition, a mass suspended by a thread – oscillates pointing answers to the questions asked by the practitioner. The greater the power of concentration and the more objective the question, the more accurate the pendulum’s answer will be.

To identify an energy imbalance in a house, for example, the dowser asks: “Is there negative energy in this environment?” If so, it searches for the origin of that vibration, repeating the question every meter. Once the source is found, it can be counterbalanced using geometric graphics, as radiesthesia believes that shapes influence the rebalancing of places.

In the same way, objects that are not beneficial can be identified: “Furniture and walls absorb energy”, explains Marcelo Sgambati, a dowser from São Paulo. It can be neutralized with new painting of the walls or, in the case of objects, cleaning with water, rock salt and vinegar.

1. First, relax. Inhale, hold the air and exhale, counting to six with each step. Repeat a few times. Then, lie on your back, inhale and tense all your muscles to the maximum, as if you were exerting a lot of strength. Hold a little, release the air and muscles at once. Repeat four times or until you feel relaxed.

2. The meaning of each pendulum movement is conventional. To get used to the four basic swings, make the pendulum “obey” your command. Take it in your hand (usually the left) and leave it still. Try to swing the pendulum to the right by just thinking. When you spin, think of yes, several times. Do this for five to ten minutes, at least seven days in a row.

3. To check sensitivity, randomly choose ten playing cards, turn them face down and, pointing to each one, ask if it is a red suit.
