How to calculate the ideal amount of water for the functioning of the kidneys? – GOOD SHAPE

The calculation is quite simple: 35 ml per kg of body weight. For the general population, this means an average of two to three liters of water per day.

Drinking enough water prevents dehydration, which can lead to mental confusion, especially in the elderly. It also helps control body heat, as well as helping to prevent constipation (intestinal constipation). Classically, adequate water intake prevents the formation of kidney stones, or kidney stones.

Drink more water whenever the weather is warmer, when exercising or during bouts of fever, or diarrhea and vomiting.

But be very careful with artificial juices, box and soft drinks. Avoid eating them as they can be high in sodium, which is harmful to your kidneys.
