For those who lived through that era, it was undoubtedly memorable. We lived with the expectation that the world would end at the turn of 1999 to 2000, who doesn’t remember that? This was also the period when many bands emerged and there was more space in the media for different musical styles. Do you remember which of these bands had songs on people’s lips and posters in people’s rooms?

13. Karahalf
In the late 90’s, this group scored hits like Northern strawberry, but a few years later, Vavá, the lead singer of the band, decided to pursue a solo career and passed the baton to his brother, Márcio. During this year they announced that the band will return in 2020.
12. LS Jack
Also emerging in the late 90s, this band had a resounding success with some hits, including Carla, but it came to an end in 2005 after the band’s lead singer suffered complications from a liposuction 1 year earlier. Five years later, they returned for a tour, but nowadays, Marcus Menna (vocalist) pursues a solo career.
11. Skunk
The band that emerged in the early 90’s and put many hits on everyone’s lips, announced its end recently.
10. Titans
Although the band emerged there in the early 80s, it is responsible for several hits that rocked the youth of many people between the 90s and 2000s. , Arnaldo Antunes, Paulo Miklos, among others, but is still active.
9. Jota Quest
The band started in the early 90’s and had many successes throughout that same decade and in the 2000’s. The group remains firm until today and maintains the same formation.
8. Charlie Brown Jr.
Even after the death of 2 big names in the band, Chorão (vocalist) and Champignon (bassist), it is still very successful, especially among young people. With a new lineup, the band honored the dead members with a show at Rock in Rio in 2019.
7. The Mischievous
They achieved great success between the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s. When Rodriguinho, the band’s lead singer, decided to pursue a solo career, it was Fabinho (keyboardist and producer) who took over the vocals. But, just 2 years later, Fabinho decided to leave the band, dying the following year. Today, the band’s vocals are the responsibility of Filipe Duarte (former member of the group Bro’z). Rodriguinho, who follows a solo career, returned to the group during 2014 and 2016, a phase in which they released a new album and also a commemorative DVD of the 20 years of their career.
6. Just to Contradict
It was one of the most successful groups in the 90s and is still very well received by the public. Until 2002, it had Alexandre Pires on vocals, who chose to pursue a solo career and passed the post to his brother, Márcio, who continues to front the band today.
5. CPM 22
CPM 22 was one of the few bands of the genre to win a gold record in Brazil and is still united.
4. Initial Capital
Formed in the early 80’s, the band secured its place in the sun by putting many hits to play around in the last decades and is one of the few bands that continues with a good performance and with the original vocalist.
3. Pitty
The Bahian rocker established her name in Brazilian music when she released her first album in 2002 (which was full of hits) and since then has achieved numerous achievements.
2. Rouge
Also in 2002, Rouge became a fever among children and teenagers at the time, but came to an end just 4 years later. In 2017, they returned to tour and recorded an unreleased album, but stopped activities again in 2019.
1. KLB
The group simply became a phenomenon in the early 2000s, who doesn’t remember The pain of this love🇧🇷 Detail: they have already stated that they are planning a show for 2020.
