How are 15 child actors from Mexican soap operas that were successful in Brazil currently doing and what they are dedicated to

The Mexican children’s soap operas, shown by SBT, marked generations. It’s hard to believe that hits like Clarita Light and Daniel’s Diary are about to complete 20 years (or more) since their first broadcast here in Brazil. Playing iconic characters in soap operas in their childhood, the actors remained in the imagination of many people. Over the years, many of these actors did not appear on Brazilian screens again, leaving the memories we had of their appearance and of old works.

With that in mind, the awesome.club decided to research how 15 child actors who shone in Mexican soap operas shown here in Brazil are doing and what they are dedicated to. Check out!

After the huge success in Carousel (1989) in the role of Maria Joaquina, Ludwika was invited to star in other productions, with emphasis on her participation, as a child, in Maria do Bairro, one of the most reprized telenovelas in Brazil. Currently, outside the small screen, Ludwika continues to dedicate himself to acting and is divided between works in cinema and theater. Recently, the actress announced on her social network that she is one of the protagonists of the film modern loves (newly released). In addition, she is featured in the play Perfectos Unknown🇧🇷

The character Cyril in the novel Carousel, shown in the 90s, won the public’s favor with the catchphrase “I just wanted to say” that became its trademark. The actor who played him, Pedro Javier, did not pursue his artistic career, preferring to stay out of the spotlight to professionalize academically in communication sciences and continue working in this segment.

Danna Paola’s first prominent role was as Maria Belém in the soap opera of the same name in 2001. Since childhood, Danna has reconciled her routine as an actress and singer and is considered a successful Latin star with millions of followers on Instagram. Currently, the young woman is part of the main cast of the series. Daniela Luján is considered the “queen of children’s telenovelas” for having starred in several successful productions such as Clarita Light (1996), Daniel’s Diary (1998) and Accomplices in a Rescue (2002). In addition to acting, Daniela also dedicated herself to her musical career and established herself in the segment, becoming the first Latin singer to perform in the Radio City Music Hall in New York, touted as one of the biggest houses of shows from United States. Today, the Mexican focuses on her acting career and works on one job after another. In the theater, she is performing with the musical In El 2000, El Musical Del Nuevo Milenio and recently announced his return to the small screen in the third season of A Family of Diez🇧🇷

At just 5 years old, Andrea Lagunes lived her first protagonist in droplet of love (1998), telenovela shown in Brazil for the first time in 2001. After the success of the telenovela, which also guaranteed the vice-leadership in audience for SBT, Andrea continued to act and participated in other children’s productions by Televisa such as Angel’s face (2000) and Long live the Children! — Carousel 2 (2002). As an adult, Andrea acted in Mexican TV series, but did not return to participate in telenovelas. In 2018, the actress was part of the cast of the play Deadly Betrayal. And to the delight of the fans, the actress revealed that she is recording a singleadding to the 2 musical albums already released in his childhood.

Belinda’s first work in soap operas was in Friends forever in the year 2000. Despite the success of this soap opera, the actress achieved even more notoriety when she starred in the first phase of Accomplices in a Rescue (2002) where he performed and sang. And, for her brilliant performance, Belinda went beyond the soap opera, conquering the stages and Latin Grammy🇧🇷

In recent years, Belinda has decided to focus on her music career and, in 2019, she even participated in a clip together with Brazilian Jojo Maronttinni (Jojo Todynho). Also this year, the young woman was a jury of the talent show The Voice (Mexico).

Daniela Aedo debuted in teledramaturgy at the age of 5, as the protagonist in the soap opera Angel’s face (2000). The soap opera was so successful that it even won a Brazilian version produced by SBT in 2016. Before becoming an actor, Martín Ricca was dedicated to singing and animating parties in Argentina, his country of origin. It was when he traveled to Mexico to record his first musical album, that Martín saw his career take off. For his resourcefulness and charisma, he caught the attention of producers of Mexican telenovelas and was soon invited to star, at age 13, in his first telenovela called Daniel’s Diary (1998). After the telenovela ended, Martín starred in Friends forever (2000), Accomplices in a Rescue (2002) and participated in CLAP (2003).

Away from telenovelas since then, Martín is living in Argentina, and in 2019 he returned to Mexico for a musical tour.

At the age of 4, Natasha had her first role in soap operas, playing Perlinha in Maria do Bairro (1995). The actress collects participation in children’s productions, with emphasis on her role in the soap opera Few, Few Fleas which was shown by SBT in 2003. Recently, Natasha appeared again on SBT in How poor so richa telenovela that registered a low audience rate in 2018. With an artistic career focused on dramaturgy, Natasha remains in constant activity: this year, she appeared in the film a pirate daddy and also in the series La casa de las floresproduced by Netflix.

Fabián became known here in Brazil after playing Joaquim Olmos, one of the protagonists in the telenovela Accomplices in a Rescue (2002). With the end of the telenovela, Fabián dedicated himself to other projects, acting for example as director of events, until in 2008 he was called to star in the Mexican series Supply Center🇧🇷 Leaving soap operas aside, Fabián has already worked as a singer, voice actor, presenter, director and producer, being even awarded the State Youth Award in 2013 for his artistic trajectory.

Currently, Fabián is focused on theatrical plays, with emphasis on more impossible poison in which he is an actor and director. And in February 2020, he will debut on stage in the work De Muerte y Locura🇧🇷

He began his career with only 5 years as the protagonist in the soap opera Rayito de Luz in 2000. For 2 consecutive years, Alejandro acted in soap operas alongside Belinda, in Adventures in the Time (2001) and Accomplices in a Rescue (2002). The actor also played opposite Danna Paola, another child actress mentioned earlier, in Amy, The Girl in the Blue Backpack (2004). Since then, Alejandro has continued to collect participation in soap operas and series. Alejandro’s most recent works on the small screen were in the soap opera La queen del sur 2 and in the series The Club also this year. For 2020, the actor prepares to debut in Someone Tiene that Dies miniseries to be produced by Netflix.

The first soap opera on Martha’s resume was in Rayito de Luz (2000) and soon in the following years he was already editing two other soap operas, acting in Adventures in el Tiempo (2001) and Accomplices in a Rescue (2002), with the 3 productions staged alongside Alejandro Speitzer, mentioned in the previous topic. Among her works, Martha also participated in Alegrifes and Rabujos (2003), a highly successful soap opera shown by SBT. In addition to being an actress, Martha has worked as a radio announcer and in July of this year she launched her first single You didn’t think of me🇧🇷 In soap operas, Martha’s last work was in quotes ciegas (2019).

In Brazil, Vadhir became known for his participation in soap operas Accomplices in a Rescue (2002) and Of few, few fleas (2003). Dedicated to acting since the age of 6, Vadhir excels in TV and film. In 2017, the young Mexican actor who currently lives in Los Angeles (California) made his Hollywood debut in the movie How to Be a Latin Lover sharing credits with stars like Salma Hayek and Rob Lowe. This year, she starred As if it was the first time based on the American film 50 First Dates (2004).

In October 2019, returning to Mexico, he was the winner of the talent show ¿Who is the mask? in which costumed celebrities are challenged to sing and dance.

Miguel Martínez played Afonso (Artichoke), one of the protagonists of the soap opera Alegrifes and Rabujos (2003). With the end of the telenovela, Miguel acted in other productions, highlighting his participation in the telenovela Dare to Sonar (2009) in which he worked alongside Danna Paola; and also in Until the End of the World (2014) in which he was an actor and singer of one of the soundtracks of the soap opera. Linked to music and dramaturgy, Miguel’s last works on the small screen were in 2018, appearing in Hijas de la Luna and How Dice el Dicho🇧🇷 This year, Miguel’s musical career is in full swing: he constantly posts new clips and musical partnerships with other artists on his YouTube channel.

Like Miguel Martínez, mentioned in the topic above, María Chacón gained international notoriety when she starred in the soap opera Alegrifes and Rabujos (2003). Dedicating herself to an acting career, she was seen in pilgrim (2005), What Madre, Tan Padre! (2006), Mujer, Cases of the Real Life (2006), The Rose of Miracles (participated in some episodes between 2008 and 2013) and How Dice el Dicho in 2016. Coming to 2019, his most recent works were in the series Silvia Pinal… Facing You and My Purpose Is You (parody). Currently, the actress is on the air as part of the main cast of the series.
