• When is capillary shielding recommended? It is generally recommended for men and women who are not satisfied with the way their hair looks. Those looking for hair shielding as a treatment may have already used very aggressive straightening processes, be bothered by excess frizz or even because of curly hair, with lifeless wires.
• How long does it last? According to Evandro Buratti, the procedure performed in the salon lasts for three to four months, on average.
• How much? The value can vary greatly. Here, there are several factors to determine a price, ranging from hair type to the city where you live. But from 350 reais it is possible to perform hair shielding in a salon that offers quality service.
• Are there any contraindications? Chemically cut hair (which had its strands broken by some very aggressive procedure) is too sensitive to receive treatment. In this case, the hairstylist indicates light nutrition and also highlights the importance of looking for a dermatologist, for a very careful and safe evaluation.
• Is it necessary to carry out a test to find out if the person is allergic to the product? Yea! Evandro explains that, at first, there is an analysis of the hair. During the conversation with your client, a small amount of the product is applied to the crook of your elbow or behind your ear. The product should act for a maximum of 40 minutes and then rinse with warm water. After 24 hours, an analysis will check for signs of a rash, redness, swelling, burning or itching.
• Can pregnant women do hair shielding? During pregnancy (and also during breastfeeding) it is very important that any treatment, whether in the hair or in other areas of the body, is carried out with medical advice. If the doctor allows, capillary shielding can indeed be performed at the time of pregnancy.
• For blonde strands, is there any special guidance? According to Evandro, we need to be careful with the temperature of the board, which can cause the wires to turn yellow.
• Is it better to perform hair shielding at home or in a salon? In the salon, with a qualified professional, there is the certainty that the technique will be performed in the safest and most correct way. The professional will know exactly the dosage of the product and how it should be applied.
