The Boomerang Effect

Of course it is easier to live distributing blame and finding those responsible (who are not us) for everything negative that happens to us.. Loneliness, unhappiness, lack of money and all those shortcomings or conflicts that torment us. Sometimes it seems as if they don’t depend on us at all. Nothing more false. The truth is that we are the leading cause of most of what happens to us.

Each of the actions we take has consequences. Some we can foresee, while others are not so clear. What is certain is that our actions have effects and that, with certainty, those effects will reach us in one way or another. That is the basis of the boomerang effect: you will receive back what you threw; perhaps with another packaging, or from an unexpected source, or at the least expected moment, but you will receive it in any case.

Life is a reflection of actions

The good or bad in your life is a reflection of the way you act. What you lack or what you have left is directly proportional to your actions. Strictly speaking, chance, accidents or unforeseen events do not have the power to shape your life. They influence, of course, but only you are the one who gives situations a certain direction.

If you don’t know how to control your anger, for example, you may find people who don’t respond to it, but they will soon distance themselves from you. No one with mental health tolerates having a lunatic by their side. On the other hand, your attitude will attract people who have similar characteristics to yours. When you least think about it, you will be surrounded by violent people and conflict will be the predominant note in your life. The Easterners say that “like seeks like.”

The same thing happens in the opposite direction. A story says that a samurai was reputed to be the wisest in an ancient kingdom. Another samurai challenged him and they had a meeting in a public square. The challenger insulted him, threw stones at him and shouted defamations against him. But the wise man remained unchanged, until the other got tired. Those present then asked him how he had managed to remain impassive and the wise man responded: “If someone offers you a gift and you do not accept it, who does the gift belong to?” “To the one who offers it,” everyone responded. “Exactly,” said the wise man. “We only make our own what we decide to accept. “The anger, the insults, still belong to those who throw them, unless we choose to receive them.”.

Strategies to receive what you want

If you are not satisfied with what you receive in life, or part of it, the first thing you should ask yourself is what you give to others. What are the seeds that you sow in each of the situations that you experience daily? You must be objective in the answers you give yourself. Don’t examine your intentions, but your concrete actions.

Then you must Identify what you want to attract. If it’s a good job, the only way to attract it is to perform your current job with excellence.; Even if you don’t like it, or think it won’t be of any use. Evaluate your skills and strengthen the points where you feel weak. Also examine your level of training and find a way to learn everything you need to perform better moving forward.

If what you want to attract is a stable and suitable partner, work on being able to give love. Strengthen your values, increase the degree of respect for others, be more considerate. Value others, try to understand them and cultivate gestures of affection with those around you.

You should know that nothing comes to your door without you doing something to make it so. Leave fear aside and actively look for what you want so much. Inquire about new job possibilities, pay attention to what is happening in the place where you want to work. Focus on what you want to achieve.

Remember that it is planted first, but You have to wait for a whole process to take place before harvesting. Don’t try to achieve what you want immediately. You must learn to wait and be patient, without losing sight of what you want to achieve. Perseverance is a jewel of great value that always, ALWAYS, pays off. The boomerang effect takes time. Wait a little and you will receive back all that accumulation of positive wishes that you sent out before.
