Grow 8 fruit trees from the seeds of your own fruit

According to the US Department of Agriculture, all adults should eat between 1.5 to 2.5 cups of fruit a day. Although today it is easy to buy all the necessary products at the nearest supermarket, it is still much healthier to eat the fruits you have planted.

Tangerines come from an evergreen plant (with a long life cycle) that reaches around 3 to 4 meters in height. If you want to grow it, you should keep the following tips in mind:

Tangerines grown from seeds can take from 4 to 7 years to bloom and bear fruit. Flowering usually occurs in spring, with fruit set in summer and ripening in early autumn.

You can easily grow lemons from the seeds of the fruit by placing them directly in the ground and following these simple rules:

Plant at least 5-10 seeds at a time, in case some don’t germinate. It is best to choose larger seeds from a fresh lemon. Don’t forget that lemon trees love water, so keep the soil moist by watering it 2-3 times a week. Seedlings need 10 to 14 hours of sunlight, while mature trees need at least 8 hours. If you can see the roots through the drainage holes in the pot, it’s time to replant the tree in a larger container.

The tree can take approx. 5 years to bear fruit and in some cases you will have to wait up to 15 years.

Before planting an avocado seed, you must prepare a sprout and then plant it. Take 3 or 4 toothpicks and use them to hold the seed (seed) suspended in a glass of water (point down). The liquid should cover approximately 2.5 centimeters of it. Place the cup in a warm place, avoiding direct sunlight for about 2 to 6 weeks until the roots appear.

When planting the sprout, make sure the seed is partially exposed to air. It is better to plant the foot in the period from March to June. Pear trees need well-draining soil and at least 6 hours of sunlight. Remember that the more light a plant receives, the more water it needs. Water the plant at least once a week, it is better to do it in the morning or in the afternoon.

You can take it at least 3 years and at most 10 so that your tree begins to bear fruit. Harvest the pears when they start to change color, while they are still hard, and then finish ripening.

If you want to grow a tree from apple seeds, remember that the type of apple tree you grow may not be the same as the seed you planted. Also, don’t forget that your tree will grow to its maximum height unless you choose a dwarf tree type. Here are some tips to increase your chances of success:

Collect 2 different types of seeds if you want your tree to bear fruit. Place them in a plastic ziplock bag on a damp paper towel. Then store the bag in the refrigerator for 70 to 80 days. Plant the sprouts in the first week of spring. Place the container with the seeds on the windowsill so they have sufficient access to sunlight. As long as an apple tree is small, it should be watered every 10-12 days. As it grows, you may start watering it less often.

Trees planted from seeds can take 8 to 10 years to produce fruit.

To grow a plum tree, you will need some preparations. First, place a plum seed on the windowsill for several days to dry. Then use a nutcracker to get the seed inside. After that, take a glass of water and put your seeds inside, leaving them there overnight. Next, take a canning jar filled with compost or fertilizer, put your seeds inside, and seal the jar. Place the container in the fridge for 6 or 8 weeks until the roots appear.

Plant the buds in the potting mix containing 2 parts soil and 1 part compost or manure. Plum trees need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. During the germination period, keep the soil slightly damp, but not too soggy.

In order to bear fruit, cherry trees need to go through a period of stratification. For this purpose, place the dried seeds in an airtight plastic container and store it in the refrigerator for 10 weeks. When the sprouts are ready, plant them taking into account the following recommendations:

Cherry trees need lots of sunlight and good air circulation, this type of plant needs fertile, sandy soil with excellent drainage. Keep the soil slightly moist and water it whenever it is dry.

You will have to wait 7 to 10 years to try their home grown fruits.

To stratify the seeds of your peaches, wrap the pits in a damp paper towel and place them in the fridge for 8 weeks. After that, you can plant them.

To make the stratification process easier, remove the seeds from their pits and place each one in a plastic bag, as many of them may not survive the first year. The soil should be deep, sandy and have a strip of clayey limestone. Keep in mind that poor soil drainage can kill the peach tree’s root system. Keep the soil moist but not wet, otherwise it will rot. Trees also need lots of sunlight.
