From the depths of the 2000s, Motorola V3 will be sold again

Riding on this wave of nostalgia (hello, #10YearsChallenge!), Lenovo, owner of Motorola, has teamed up with Verizon, the US phone company, to bring the V3 back from the depths of 2006, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. According to the publication, the idea is to start marketing the product as early as February – initially in the United States. In the testing phase, the cell phone, however, would return all turbocharged: the promise is a super modern design and a completely foldable screen.

The bad news is the price, around 1,500 dollars, easily around 5,500 reais. The company’s idea would be to manufacture only 200,000 units and deliver a powerful and durable cell phone to the consumer (which would justify the high price). It is worth remembering that, in 2016, Motorola released a teaser in which it hinted that it would bring the cell phone back. Did not happen. Well, by all indications, it should really happen and, who knows, people will use their cell phones again to make calls, even if it’s just to hang up on their trash crush.
