Enjoy your own company! – GOOD SHAPE

Are you always looking to have someone with you to do the things you enjoy? Or don’t know what to do while you’re alone? Feeling emotionally dependent and unable to enjoy your own company? Today I want to help you improve your relationship with yourself!

The only person who is by your side 24/7 is you! Therefore, it becomes essential to be able to get along with your own personality, to like who you are and to have happy moments of solitude.

But what is solitude, Pri? It’s enjoying being alone with yourself, enjoying the moment alone, without feeling abandoned. Different from the loneliness that brings sadness for not having another person by your side.

I’ll tell you something, for years I hated being alone, I’d always put the TV on in the background so I could hear noises, I’d play some music, call someone, arrange something to do and even go down to the lobby to chat with the doorman… I did everything to not feel alone. But I discovered the charm of doing things in silence and alone, of going to the movies without having to convince someone else to want to see the same movie, of going to a cafe to work in peace, of traveling alone and living amazing and nowadays I love this time and I try to implement it consistently in my routine.

It wasn’t overnight that all this changed, it was a work on self-esteem, self-esteem, understanding my limits, getting out of my comfort zone, increasing my self-esteem and finding liberation, after all, I had several limiting beliefs, such as that dining alone in a public place was synonymous with loneliness, which today I see the same situation as an act of courage and fun, and I got rid of them to decide to be happy!

And what beliefs have you been reaffirming in your mind? What challenges do you want to overcome? What wishes do you have that fear still prevents you from fulfilling?

We need to be very careful with emotional dependence, not being able to do the things we like without the presence of others, this is not healthy at all, after all, we will not have company all the time, for the rest of our lives and it is necessary to have moments alone to reflect, question yourself, think and even rest!

So today I challenge you to do something for yourself, to discover things that you like to do alone, to try new things and who knows how to be positively surprised by the results! I really hope you find that you are your best friend and that you can have fun and trust yourself!
