Don’t allow yourself to be judged by someone who doesn’t live your story

It takes courage to put yourself in the other’s shoes, because it hurts, it brings awareness that, many times, we are being unfair to those who just need support.

Looking at events from afar, as a mere spectator, does not give anyone enough authority to judge what they see. People are often judged by the attitudes they take, suffering censorious looks and disapproving comments from those who do not know what happened before that decision was made.

One of the greatest favors anyone can do for another person is to know before judging. It is not possible to make value judgments based only on superficial knowledge, without having lived closely any of the stories that are not yours.

Each person feels the world, events and life in their own way. No one feels the same, neither pain nor pleasure, so people must put themselves in the other’s shoes, understanding them before criticizing them. And it takes courage to put yourself in the place of other people’s pain, because it hurts, it brings awareness that, many times, we are being unfair to those who just need support.

So don’t let anyone judge you without having lived your story, without having shared anything with you, without ever having asked if you needed something.

Ignore those who attack you without understanding, who judge without knowing, who gossip without knowing it, because most people are only concerned with what they think are mistakes of others that could be avoided, although they also make mistakes and try to hide, pointing the finger to others.
