What exactly is déjà vu?

Déjà vu is a common extrasensory experience, which happens to many.

Just yesterday I was in a thrift store buying a couple of bowls when all of a sudden I had a flash of Déjà vu where I saw and realized that I had “been here before”.

In this case, I had previously dreamed of that exact moment in time… I had seen it through my own eyes and had already experienced it through a precognitive dream.

For me, this was a sign and an indication that I was on the right track. I have recently made some major changes in my life and I took it as a beautiful validation of my new direction.

Another recent Déjà vu experience occurred while I was traveling around Bali a while back…

It was the night of the full moon and I was staying in a beautiful villa overlooking the jungle.

Walking through the complex, my eye was caught by an archway leading to the garden and rice paddies.

As I climbed the steps toward the arch, I suddenly had a flash of insight.

I had been here before.

I remembered walking up those steps under the full moonlight, only my memory was from a long time ago, in a past life experience.

Deja vu

The expression Déjà vu comes from French and means “already seen”.

It is accurate to describe it as experiencing the past in your present. The best way to describe it is as strange, or strangely familiar when it happens. Logic tells you that the situation you’re in is happening for the first time, but some other sense tells you that you’ve already been there, said that, or seen something before.

Déjà vu occurs in both adults and children; in fact, more than 70% of people say they have experienced déjà vu at some point in their lives. Déjà vu can be triggered through any of our senses, including taste, smell, sound, and touch. Perhaps it is a certain voice, a familiar sight or a certain sound that triggers your memory and your experience of déjà vu.

More examples of déjà vu

Meeting someone for the first time but knowing they’ve met before. Talking to someone and feeling like you’ve said exactly the same sentences before. Listening to a song that reminds you of people or places you don’t recognize but are familiar to you. Experiencing a situation and suddenly knowing that you have already been through it. Visiting a place for the first time and remembering that you have already been there.

When a déjà vu occurs, it is remembered that what is happening in the present moment has already been experienced before.

What does déjà vu mean?

Déjà vu is a miraculous and beautiful glimpse into the depths of your soul and an indicator of a previous life, or precognitive experience.

When it happens, it’s a signal to pay attention. Whether your déjà vu triggers a past life memory, reminds you of a precognitive dream, signifies a change in the timeline, or carries a direct message from your highest divine self…

Déjà vu is a signal to pay attention to the present moment, as something significant is happening.

Perhaps you are being given an opportunity to learn a key lesson, experience completion in some way, or shift into greater alignment with your highest light.

Of course, you have to be aware enough to notice!

When you start paying attention to déjà vu as a message from your divine self, great emotional healing can occur. Your subconscious is relaying messages to your conscious mind in the form of these “already seen” moments or memories. It’s easy to dismiss them as a coincidence. But when we do, we miss its spiritual significance.

The next time you experience déjà vu, stop and consider that the timing of that moment is rare and therefore special. It’s a feeling of familiarity that lets you know you’re exactly where you need to be.

Think of déjà vu as a sign that you are on the right spiritual path.

What’s its purpose?

Déjà vu serves as a marker between past lives or premonitions and our current life. Bookmarks are reminders that can be pointing to many things:

You are currently repeating an action from a past life There are past life experiences and aspects of the soul that you can now heal and integrate You have experience with what is happening right now You are in the right place at the right time with the right people You are done You have the support of your spiritual team and the angels, as well as the wisdom and knowledge to be here on Earth now.

It is your responsibility to interpret the message at the moment of déjà vu. Is it an indicator of change in your life? A validation of the address you are going to?

Remember that your soul has planned this moment of repetition just for you. The divine is supporting you and wants you to decode the message.

Just being aware of a past memory can open a window into your higher self.

Every déjà vu experience is an opportunity to increase your understanding of and connection to higher consciousness. Simply put, it is your soul connecting with your physical being on a deeper level. Often when viewed this way, déjà vu helps you see life more clearly. It can even guide your decisions, heal emotional wounds, and unlock patterns.

We learn from our history. Why not learn from the story of a past life? This mysterious sign has come to you from the hand of your angels, ancestors and guides. They have chosen it for you, now, in this life, to guide and support you.

What if you’ve never had déjà vu?

Even if you have never experienced déjà vu, this does not mean that this is your first life. Every being has already had multiple lifetimes here on Earth and in the spirit realm. If you have never experienced déjà vu, it means that your angels and guides did not set up this type of reminder or marker during this particular journey (at least not yet).

Let this be your motivation to look in other areas where your signals are coming from.

Rest assured that no being is here alone. You have a team dedicated to the journey of your soul. They are talking to you differently. For you, now, other bookmarks make more sense. In fact, if you stop to think now, you’ll probably realize where your bookmarks came from. Other coincidences, synchronicities, epiphanies, life-changing events, and a-ha moments.
