Dear God, I thank you too for the bad days

Thank you for the hard days and the rocky waves that appear as I sail. Thank you for the nights I can’t sleep because the storm doesn’t seem to let up. Thank you for the tears that flood my room and I often don’t even know why. Thank you for allowing me to go through your process, for refining me even if painfully.

Thank you for the unanswered questions, for the question marks, for the closed doors, for the no, for the ends. Thank you for making me understand that what I wanted most was not for me, before it was too late. Thank you for letting me cry with disappointment. Thanks for saving me before the breakdown. Thank you for the people who thought I wasn’t good enough—because the truth is, I was made for someone else, for another job, for another place.

Thank you for letting me trip over a few bumps along the way, because the Lord knows some things weren’t designed for my hands to touch or my heart to love and that’s when I realized that not every rejection is negative, not every struggle must be won, not everything we yearn for was made for us.

Thank you for the sufferings, for the nights when I lock myself in my room without answers to my doubts, for the days that don’t seem to pass, for the moments of displeasure and frustration.

Thank you for making me realize that I’m not perfect. That I’m incomplete without You. Thank you, Lord, for allowing cloudy clouds on days that seemed to be sunny, because it was on those days that I came to the realization that I am nothing without You and that I cannot mend myself, that I cannot heal my own wounds or dry my own wounds. tears. That’s when I realized that the Lord is still examining, fixing, working on a better project for me.

Thank you for making me understand who I really am without You, how miserable and incapable I am. Thank you that the Lord made me understand how Your strength is truly made perfect in my weakness. For showing me how much I need the Lord to come and do the rest.

Thank you for the painful truth, for throwing away the lies that taste good, and for opening my eyes. Thank you for the hard days, for using them to remind me that you are an unfathomable God, a God who offers us more, who wants us to know Him better and more deeply in a new light, through the experiences and struggles we all go through. the days.

Thank you for making me understand that my dreams weren’t buried, but were actually planted in this exact same place of pain and discomfort. Right in this area of ​​disability. Right in this field I thought was already dead. And for reminding me that soon they will come true, grow, blossom and make me a better man than I am today.
