Dad Takes Flight Attendant Daughter Every Christmas So She Doesn’t Feel Lonely

Christmas, for many people, can be one of the most important dates of the year when it comes to celebrating together. During this time many people travel far and wide to be with family and friends, but when that is not possible it can be truly heartbreaking.

It all happened in December of last year, when he discovered that it would not be possible to spend Christmas with his daughter. Hal then went out of his way to stay with her no matter what he had to do. His daughter, Pierce Vaughan, is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, and during one of the busiest times of the year for travel, she was chosen to work.

So what did the savvy parent do? Well, in a true moment of inspiration, he thought that since she couldn’t be with him, he would be with her. So he decided to get on all the flights his daughter would need to be on.

Coincidentally, during Hal’s marathon flight, he sat next to a man named Mike Levy, who, after hearing the incredible story, decided to take some pictures and share it with his friends on Facebook.

In the post — which has since been shared over 42,000 times and had over 214,000 likes — Mike praised Hal for being a great dad and going out of his way to be with his daughter at this special time of year.

One benefit of having a relative work for Delta is that family members can get cheaper tickets; a benefit Hal took advantage of to be with his daughter.
