Cold in Oymyakon, the coldest place in the world, breaks thermometers and creates a makeup trend

Oymyakon, in Russia, the coldest place on the planet, is a village of just over 900 people whose resistance is really surprising.

In recent days, the cold there has not only caused the thermometers to drop to minus 60 degrees centigrade, but has also broken the electronic thermometer at the local weather station. The device couldn’t record the temperature below from − 62°C🇧🇷 Apparently, it met the same fate as its predecessor, an alcohol thermometer that recorded the temperature of 🇧🇷67 °C.

Incidentally, the brand narrowly missed breaking the 1933 record, when the temperature in Oymyakon dropped to 🇧🇷67.7 °C, the lowest ever recorded in the northern hemisphere of the planet.

This is 24-year-old Nastya, who works in a ballroom and lives in the area. And that’s how the young woman stayed after a 15-minute walk between home and work. On her Instagram profile, she states that, to show off makeup worthy of a fairytale winter, you don’t need to do anything special; the blizzard turned out to be a great beauty artist🇧🇷

Nastya also shared a photo of frozen mammoth statuestogether publishing reflections on life in one of the most beautiful and inhospitable places in the world.

“…here we are born, study, fall in love, build houses and travel; they do the same things that the other 7 billion inhabitants of the world do, only for half the year, we live in the cold. But we live, we don’t ‘survive'”.

“…We decorate the city for the Christmas festivities, build fantastic snowmen, decorate the Christmas trees and put toboggans in the squares for the children. temperature is 🇧🇷50 °C, you can see children playing, and at night many adults also have fun on the slides (when no one is looking)”.

“I admit, – continues Nastya in her post, — I believed that we really ‘we survived’ here, but when I start to tell all this, I realize that this is life, our life”.
