Chilean boy draws football album stickers when his mother didn’t have the money to buy them (and gets a big surprise)

During the 2019 edition of Copa América, many children (and also adults) had the chance to collect stickers and complete the official album with cards from their favorite players. However, for Ignacio, a young Chilean, the story happened differently. His mother, Carolina Avendaño, is unemployed, with no money to spend on stickers. The boy, without insisting, found a solution: create the stickers manually.

For us, from awesome.club, Ignacio is an example to be followed. Despite the difficulties, he let his imagination fly and thus won the hearts of many people.

Carolina said that Ignacio is a big fan of his country’s soccer team, particularly Arturo Vidal. His Twitter post provoked around 540 comments (including one from athlete), all from people who wanted to support or gift the boy with the stickers.

The day after the publication of the post, Ignacio was invited by Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) to attend an event in which Vidal would be present. That was, without a doubt, a great opportunity to meet the idol and have one of his dreams come true.

And so it happened. The little one met, teated and hugged the player, who took the opportunity to congratulate the fan for the talent shown in the drawings, saying that he should “keep dreaming, because dreams come true”.

But Arturo Vidal wasn’t the only one to surprise Ignacio. The Union of Professional Soccer Players of Chile (Sifup) also contacted the boy’s mother to deliver a complete album and check the possibility of taking a photo next to a replica of the Copa América cup won by the national team in 2015.

We are sure that all these moments will remain forever in the memory of Ignacio and his family. Carolina used Twitter to thank everyone who participated in the initiatives that made her son more happymaking it clear how important all that was for his son.
