Brazilian artist creates illustrations of American series and with that draws the attention of the cast itself

Designer Rafael, 27 years old, has been very successful with his work due to his unique creativity. The reason for so much attention were the illustrations that Rafa made of the main characters of one of the most popular series in the 2000s: Everybody hates Cris🇧🇷 The series was a great success for years on Record TV and today it is also part of the Globo Play catalog.

For those who don’t remember, the series was broadcast in Brazil in the 2000s and was inspired by the childhood of American comedian Chris Rock. It is set in a Brooklyn neighborhood, in New York City in the 1980s. The family consisted of Chris (Tyler J. Williams), mother Rochelle (Tichina Arnold), father Julius (Terry Crews) and brothers Drew (Tequan Richmond) and Tonya (Imani Hakim).

The boy says that after having almost given up on the area of ​​design, he had the idea of ​​making illustrations for the series he is a fan of. Rafael says that some of his followers marked the actors who played the characters and success came very quickly. He was surprised to learn that celebrities were very impressed with his work, and even shared the publication.

This talented artist says he found it surreal to have achieved such a reach with his creations, with the help of his followers. Crews, the actor who played Julius, and Jacqueline Mazarella, the actress who played Miss Morello, shared the art on their personal Instagram profiles and praised Rafael’s work, and Crews even suggested that the series be turned into a cartoon.

The artist also says that since he was a little boy he has always been passionate about drawing and that any blank space in the house was a canvas for his creativity. After some time off, he finally discovered the Faculty of Design and was enchanted by the possibility of once again giving wings to his imagination. After graduation, he dedicated himself to illustrations and improved his career.

Rafael also has a very diversified portfolio, full of illustrations from other series and drawings created by himself. Today the illustrator is working as a designer in an animation studio and has already got more than 15 thousand followers on his personal Instagram. A Brazilian talent that is being valued and that has everything to be among the best in the world.
