Beyoncé’s diet: this 22-day menu changed the singer’s body –

One of the most searched diets on Google in 2015, the 22 Day Diet is responsible for leaving dear Queen B. with that enviable body. Calm down, we tell you more.

Developed by exercise physiologist Marcos Borges, the vegan diet became a book, “The 22 Day Revolution” (Editora Alaúde) – with a preface written by the singer! –, and has a menu basically composed of fruits, vegetables, grains and seeds, in addition to completely restricting the consumption of meat.

What is most impressive about the program is its duration, apparently short. However, the author guarantees success based on the theory that 21 days is the ideal time for human beings to develop a new habit.

For nutritionist Inari Ciccone, specialist in Obesity and Weight Loss at UNIFESP, “it is important to remember that this is a more radical diet, therefore contraindicated for longer periods than proposed. But if you follow it correctly, you will undoubtedly feel the benefits.”

And this is not the only advantage of the method. According to the author, consumption of the indicated foods also prevents cancer, lowers cholesterol levels and blood pressure, reduces the risk of heart disease and contributes to the treatment of diabetes. In other words, it is worth investing.

1 day menu

Breakfast: 1 glass of smoothie shaken with 200ml of almond milk, 1 banana + 1 slice of papaya + 2 col. (soup) flaxseed + 1 col. (tea) of honey.
