Bepantol Derma: hydration solution for your skin and hair

Bepantol ointment is well known for its miraculous effects, whether to protect babies from diaper rash or for other uses that have become popular. Given this diversity of functionalities, the Bayer laboratory, responsible for the production of Bepantol, created a specific line for some treatments.

The Bepantol Derma line is specific to restore hair hydration to the feet, as explained by Carla Rangel, Bepantol Derma’s marketing manager. The main component of the product is Dexpanthenol, an active pro-vitamin B5 recognized for its rich moisturizing property.

“Bepantol Derma is a versatile product that can be used for numerous purposes”, says Carla. There are no contraindications for its use, according to the marketing manager. “Only if there is hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula”, warns Carla.

Bepantol Derma Solution

Bepantol Derma Solution is a liquid product that comes in a 50 ml bottle and costs an average of R$24. It contains a high concentration of Dexpanthenol, which helps in full hydration at the site used. Free from alcohol, fragrance and dyes, it is suitable for everyone.

Its uses:

• It moisturizes the hair leaving it softer and with shine and, as it is liquid, it does not weigh the hair down;
• Shaved areas moisturizing and protecting from irritations;
• Aftershave offering hydration to the area irritated by the blades;
• Scalp in order to strengthen the wires.

Despite being used in areas shaved both by blades and by other methods, Bepantol Derma does not have lightening properties, as Carla reports, and, therefore, its function is not to lighten the area, but to assist in the natural renewal of the skin.

In the hair, Bepantol Derma Solution must be included in the hair hydration stage, to enhance it. “On the skin, the best use is to soak cotton and apply it on the desired area”, details the marketing manager.

Bepantol Derma Cream

Bepantol Derma Cream, as the name suggests, is a creamier and more concentrated product, ideal for dry areas. The product comes in a 20g tube and costs on average R$22. In addition to Dexpanthenol, it contains sweet almond oil and lanolin, ingredients that enhance hydration, immediately restoring the skin.

Its uses:

• Areas of friction such as knees, elbows and heels;
• It can also be used on shaved areas helping with hydration;
• On nails to strengthen them;
• In the cuticles, moisturizing them;
• Region below the eyes;
• Minor injuries, such as burns, helping skin renewal;
• Tattoo healing.

Due to its format, Bepantol Derma Cream is ideal to be carried in bags and toiletry bags, and can be used at any time of the day. “It repairs the skin’s hydration, helping to keep it healthy, in addition to assisting in its natural renewal”, details Carla.

Its application is simpler and, as it is a cream, it can be used directly on the area to be hydrated, being reapplied whenever necessary. As it is a sticky product and leaves the area white, the best time to apply it is before bed.

Bepantol Derma Lip Regenerator

Bepantol Derma Lip Regenerator has a more specific lip hydration function. It also contains Dexpanthenol in its formula, in addition to Vitamin E that protects the lips against free radicals.

The product is a 7.5ml lip balm and sells on average for R$29. “It has restorative and antioxidant action that helps the lips to remain hydrated and ultra healthy”, reinforces the marketing manager of Bepantol.

The experience with Bepantol Derma

Some women have detailed their experiences with Bepantol Derma. Gleice Bernardini has already tried all Bepantol Derma. “In solution it is very good to mix in the mask to make hydration. A cap bottom looks great, otherwise the hair gets too oily,” she explains.

To moisturize the lips, Gleice prefers to use Derma Cream instead of Lip Repair. “I put it in my mouth before bed and the next day it is smooth and soft. The only problem is that it gets gooey and white, but it is much better than other products for this purpose.” She has also used Bepantol Derma Cream on dark circles and very dry areas and says she feels the place is much more hydrated.

Bepantol Derma should only be contraindicated in people with hypersensitivity to the product, as the marketing manager had already advised. However, the doctor recommends that you avoid applying the product to the mucosa, skin with acne and injured skin.

Dr. Andréa also gives the tip of using Bepantol Derma on the hair so that it takes longer to turn white. As for the use of each of the products, she suggests that the cream, as it has greater hydration and fixation power, is ideal for the skin. “On the scalp, Bepantol Solution becomes a more suitable product.”
