Argan oil: how to use it –

Impossible to talk about hydration without mentioning the darling of the moment: the Argan oilextracted from a typical Moroccan tree.

It has become a must-have for Hollywood celebrities because it leaves hair hydrated, soft and with an unbelievable shine. Rich in essential fatty acids (such as linolenic acid) and vitamins A, D and E, it has a restorative and antioxidant action, which minimizes the wear of the wires due to stress, pollution, sun, wind, dryer, flat iron and chemistry.

With so much success, other oils (such as camellia, saffron and pracaxi) gained status and began to be combined with argan or associated with other moisturizing actives. Better: just a few drops (although expensive, the products last a long time!) to gain the benefits.

Here’s how to use them:

To boost the mask: put a few drops mixed with the cosmetic and apply after the shampoo and before the conditioner. It works as a “transport” for the nutrients to reach the inside of the hair fiber, enhancing the effect of the mask.

To protect and moisturize as a leave-in: a few drops (two for short hair and up to five for long hair) can be applied to the strands before they dry completely.

To control frizz and add shine: used on the lengths and ends when the hair is dry, they remove the frizz and seal the split ends.

For a shock treatment: apply the oil to dry hair, massaging lock by lock, let it act for ten minutes and rinse. Then wash.

Never with a heat source

No oil should be applied before of thermal appliances, such as dryer and flat iron. The reason? Fry your hair, literally.
