It is important to know that not only fruits and vegetables can be genetically modified, but also animal products.

Potassium bromate can cause headaches, rashes and digestive problems. Unfortunately, it is found in most commercial types of bread. It is banned in Canada, China and the European Union.

Australia and New Zealand have banned farm-raised salmon. What happens is that farmed fish follow a strict diet, which includes not only antibiotics, but also elements that increase their caloric value. This type of salmon, in general, does not contain healthy substances.

Olestra is a synthetic substance that replaces fat and has zero calories. It is used most extensively in low-fat potato chips labeled “Light”. It is believed that such a chemical brings with it many negative consequences for the body, primarily insufficient absorption of the necessary vitamins. In Canada and Europe, products with olestra are completely banned.

By themselves, sports drinks are neither harmful nor prohibited. They have vitamins, minerals and other healthy substances. However, some unscrupulous manufacturers hide the unpleasant smell of the product and give it an attractive color using brominated vegetable oil (BVO). BVO is banned in Japan and Europe because of its toxicity and risk of developing breast and prostate cancer.

Manufacturers resort to many tricks to make their products work. In the US, to get more milk from a cow, the animal is given growth hormone shots. The consumption of milk produced by these animals is associated with the onset of cancer, cardiovascular diseases and increased levels of thyroid hormones. That’s why milk of this type has been banned in Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland, Japan, Australia and 29 other European countries.
