8 Exercises to slim your cheeks and get a well-defined face

When it comes to exercise, we often give full priority to legs, arms and abs and completely forget about the face. Cheeks, like any other part of the body, also need physical activity to stay in shape. While genetics play a huge role in whether or not we’ve been blessed with cheekbones like Angelina Jolie’s, facial exercises go a long way in improving this part of the face.

1. Duck mouth

We start by working the core muscles of the cheeks. Purse your lips and open and close your mouth. Be sure to pull your lips out and tense your face to get those muscles working.

Repetition: 15 times.

2. Shame of others

As the name says, imagine something really embarrassing. Press one corner of your mouth back while tensing your neck muscles. If you can see the lines on your face in the mirror, it means you are doing well.

Repetition: 15 times.

3. Fish face

Everyone knows how to make that funny face. Suck your cheeks and purse your lips. Then tilt your head back and imagine reaching for the ceiling with your chin to get an extra stretch in your neck and chin.

Duration: Hold the position for 10 seconds and repeat 15 times.

Believe it or not, closing your eyes can help burn fat from your cheeks. So close them as tight as you can and tense your face as you do so to feel the tension in your face.

Duration: Hold for 3 seconds and repeat 15 times.

6. Chin lift

Your chin can also do lifts. Push your lower lip over your upper lip and lift your chin as high as you can.

Repetition: 15 times.

7. Side kisses

Imagine you are greeting French friends. Purse your lips as much as you can and move them from left to right. Try to go from one side to the other as far as you can.

Repetition: 15 times.

8. Mouth wide open

This is not only a great stretch but also an effective method to burn fat from your cheeks. Push your tongue against the back of your front teeth and lower your chin as far as you can.

Repetition: 15 times.

Bonus: Tongue Pose

The tongue, like the body, can have a bad posture. Incorrect placement can affect the shape of the face, for example, giving the appearance of a double chin or a plump face. Make sure that when you are resting, your tongue and teeth are in the correct position. Your tongue should be resting on your palate and your teeth should be lightly touching.
