5 things happy people do every day

The things we usually do determine how we feel or the extent to which we achieve our goals, among other things. These habits are usually quite simple, so much so that they are not usually observable with the naked eye.

Ryan T. Howell, professor of Psychology at the University of Chicago, conducted a study to find out what habits differentiated happy people from those who were not happy from a consumption perspective. It is very common to hear that money does not bring happiness – although it helps – and that is a topic that greatly interests Professor Howell.

According to the conclusions of the research carried out by Professor Howell, happy people do five things that differentiate them from others. Several of these characteristics have to do with consumption and the importance of money for them.

“Human happiness is generally not achieved by lucky breaks, which may occur rarely, but by small things that happen every day.”

-Benjamin Franklin-

#1 – Happy people think fondly of the past

Happy people do not think about what they lacked before, or what they would have liked to have, but rather they relive the significant moments for their meaning, they relive the ecstasy and omit the moments of agony and hardship. Definitely, Happy people focus on good memories and don’t dwell on negative moments.

#2 – Happy people “capture” the emotions of others

#4 – Happy people manage their money well

Something any of us can do every day is make a budget and track expenses, controlling impulse purchases. Research suggests that Happy individuals are able to manage their money better when they have clear goals and when they save. to secure a future or have a financial “cushion” or emergency fund. It’s not about having more or less, but about knowing how to manage it.

“Happiness is internal, not external; Therefore, it does not depend on what we have, but on what we are.”

-Henry Van Dyke-
