5 series with love stories for you to fall in love with

Because it is such an important part of our lives, love has always been one of the most explored themes in entertainment. Series writers, for example, create love stories that we fall in love with and that make us follow their unfolding for years and years.

We look forward to seeing our favorite couples overcome obstacles, we cry every time they fail and we are happy every time they succeed.

But it’s always sad to see a story that we really like come to an end, and that’s why we often start looking for another love story to know and follow along.

So, if you’ve been orphaned by your favorite series recently, check out a list of other stories of couples that marked the series universe and that will leave you dying of love and wanting to fall in love too.

1. Friends

The Friends series revolved around friends Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey, and was considered one of the greatest comedy series of all time. Two passionate love stories emerged in the plot, the first and main one starring Rachel and Ross. The two meet again at the beginning of the series and he recovers the feelings he had for her when they studied together, and it takes a while until she finds out about these feelings and realizes that they are reciprocal, starting then, a romance with a lot of drama. , many obstacles and a lot of back-and-forth.

On the other hand, while the other love story in the series started in an unexpected and surprising way, it was much more solid and consistent. Monica and Chandler’s romance began with one night of no-strings-attached sex that resulted in many more, and eventually a serious and lasting relationship.

2. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl was based on a book series of the same name, but did you know that the main television couple never existed in the books? The chemistry between Blair and Chuck was so great that it won over the public and made the writers change the course of the story.

The two characters have always been very complex, but they evolved together over the course of the plot. Chuck joined the series as a villain, but had his redemption when he fell in love with Blair, who became an independent, mature and loving woman, very different from the selfish and manipulative girl of the first season.

3. How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother shows Ted, one of the main characters, telling his children how he met their mother. But the plot of the series goes far beyond that! Over nine seasons, we follow the stories of five friends: Ted, Marshall, Lily, Robin and Barney. Marshall and Lily have been dating for many years and, with a few exceptions, remain together from beginning to end of the series, teaching us valuable lessons about love and relationships.

On the other hand, opinions are divided when it comes to rooting for the second couple in the series. Some people were supportive and emotional about the Ted and Robin story, but others really wanted her to be with Barney. Watch the series and decide which of these two couples deserves your love!

4. Grey’s Anatomy

If there’s a series full of love stories for you to fall in love with, it’s Grey’s Anatomy. In the very first scene of the very first episode we meet the protagonist couple, Meredith and Derek. They wake up at her house, having met at a bar and spent the night together, and have no idea that they will meet at work every day from then on.

Grey’s Anatomy is a medical series and, in addition to the cases and patients, the series’ plot is focused on the relationships between the people who work at the Seattle Grace hospital. So, of course, many couples pop up there! Mark and Lexie, Arizona and Callie and Izzie and Alex are just a few of the romantic pairings that will have you sighing (and crying a lot!) throughout the episodes.

5. The OC

When The OC was created, more than ten years ago, the protagonist couple was one: Ryan and Marissa. He had just moved in with the Cohens, who would become his legal guardians, and she would be his neighbor. The two went through a lot over the course of the series and gained a little place in the hearts of the public, but the couple that really won over The OC fans was another.

Seth was in love with Summer since he was a child, but she had never been interested in him until then. Things change and they begin a love story full of ups and downs that lasts from beginning to end of the series. But did you know that initially actress Rachel Bilson, who played Summer, wasn’t hired as part of the regular cast? The success of the character – and the couple – was so much that she not only joined the fixed core, but also the protagonist core of The OC.

Now it’s time to choose which of these series you’ll start watching first! Invite your friends to do a marathon with you or invite that special someone to share the sighs, tears and laughs too.
