30 Stories Prove That Tooth Fairy Work Isn’t As Simple As It Seems

Almost two weeks ago, we had to have our daughter’s tooth pulled. She, scared, said: “The dentist took my tooth! The fairy needs him to give me the money!” I told her to calm down and write a letter explaining the situation: “Dear Tooth Fairy, the sugar bugs have ruined my tooth, so the dentist has taken it. Please give me some money”. That night, in “ninja mom” mode, I managed to take the letter from her hand while she was sleeping and put in five dollars. She was very happy. Mommy saved the day and now she had some money to buy toys. Well, that same night, she started laughing a lot when it was time to go to bed. I was curious and she told me: “I’m going to trick the tooth fairy”. I went back into my “ninja mom” mode and found a note: “Dear tooth fairy, sugar bugs again, you know? Please leave me some money.” I also decided to write a note: “Dear little girl, you can’t lie. Lying is not good and now you must pay for my time. Give me back the money”. She became hysterical, not understanding whether she had misbehaved. A week later, I wrote another note: “Dear little girl, looks like you’ve learned. Don’t lie again, I saw the piggy bank you have in your room.” And I put the five dollars back. There has been a 90% decrease in your lies since then. © honestaccount31 / Reddit

My kids put the tooth in an envelope and I change it for another one before bedtime. They don’t notice, which is weird, because the envelope has a note and five dollars. I don’t understand how they don’t see the difference in size. My children are 9 and 11 years old. I suspect they found out and they don’t want to tell me, because sometimes they give me hints of things they want the fairy to include in the stories. When my 6-year-old daughter lost a tooth, I sneaked into her room around four in the morning, took out the tooth and put money in its place, all without being discovered. I got ready to go back to my bed, put the tooth in my jewelry box and went back to sleep. Well, imagine my surprise when, the next day, my daughter told me with emotion that the little mouse had left some money… and the tooth!!! Bewildered, I went to check my jewelry box to see what I had taken… It was a cat biscuit! Why did she have this under her pillow? I have no idea. © Pinkiepie1111 / Reddit

I went to my son’s room to wake him up to go to school. The first thing he did was look under the pillow for what the mouse had left, but he found nothing. We had forgotten. He said, “Dad, the little mouse didn’t come.” I looked on his bedside table and I saw a box of about 20 pencils with an eraser on the end and I said, “Bubba (I call him Bubba), I’m sure the little mouse didn’t forget. It was dark in the room. He probably thought that all these erasers were teeth and he didn’t have enough money. I bet you come back next night.” Later, when my boy was already asleep, I went to the bedroom to get the tooth and put some money under the pillow. On the bedside table was the same box of pencils with a note: “Not teeth.” I almost started laughing. © small_e_900 / Reddit

Just two weeks ago I woke up at five in the morning to put two euros under my daughter’s pillow. As I tried to pick up the bag with the tooth, she grabbed my arm and said, “The tooth fairy is not real!” I was taken aback and quickly responded, “Okay honey, go back to sleep.” And slept! Later, she was overjoyed to solve the mystery. He just turned seven years old. © abarcar_bear / Reddit
