30 Palm Sunday phrases that celebrate the beginning of Holy Week

Holy Week begins today with Palm Sunday. May she be blessed with a lot of recollection and conversion, so that we can reach true communion with Jesus!

We have gone from the joy of welcoming Jesus, who enters Jerusalem, to the sadness of seeing him condemned to death and crucified. It is an interior attitude that will accompany us throughout Holy Week.

Never forget the true meaning of Palm Sunday: Jesus’ return to Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week. A week meditating on the death of Our Lord, but also on the resurrection!

We celebrate once again the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem! May this Palm Sunday be marked by love and obedience to our Savior.

Jesus begins right away by surprising us. His people solemnly welcome him, but he enters Jerusalem on a colt… What is the aspect of the Lord and his Passover that most surprises us? The fact that He comes to glory by way of humiliation.

What happened to those people who, in a few days, went from the ‘Hosannas’ to Jesus to the cry ‘crucify Him’? Those people followed an image of the Messiah more than the Messiah. They admired Jesus, but they were not ready to be surprised by Him.

God, may I celebrate this Palm Sunday in the right way: renouncing the world and accepting Jesus!

When Jesus entered Jerusalem the whole city was stirred, and they were saying, “Who is this man?” The crowds answered, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. A period that begins with cries of hosannas and ends with lamentations for the Passion of Christ. May we embrace the cross to reach the resurrection in Christ.

Hosanna in the highest, king of all kings and our only Savior! So we salute Jesus, today on Palm Sunday and forevermore!

Say to the daughter of Zion: Behold, your King comes to you, Meek and sitting on an ass, And on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.

Hosanna! Blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord, King of Israel. A great Palm Sunday!

Palm Sunday is a time for reflection to silence our minds and listen to what Jesus has to say to us throughout the week. May there be conversion in us!

Palm Sunday solemnly opens Holy Week with the remembrance of Palmas and the passion, the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and the liturgy of the Word that evokes the Passion of the Lord in the Gospel of Saint Luke.

On this Palm Sunday, I want to die to the world, to sins and be reborn in Jesus, my Lord and savior.

May this Palm Sunday have many moments of welcome and love between you and your loved ones!

Much more than decorating the doors of houses with palm branches, Palm Sunday is a day to celebrate the love and humility of Jesus towards all peoples!

Palm Sunday makes us reflect on Christ’s love for us. Jesus loved us to the last consequences. May his example enlighten us to love our neighbor as he loved us.

In His time, Jesus returned to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Today, I pray that He will return to my heart, which is longing for His forgiveness and love.

May this Palm Sunday be a blessed day of peace. May it be a Sunday that renews our faith and hope in Christ, in the certainty that better days will come.

Holy Week is an intense week for all Catholics, from Palm Sunday to the Passion of Christ we get in touch with the purest love in this world: the One who died for us and for our sins.

Jesus arrived in Jerusalem being greeted and exalted and died, in the same city, being humiliated. May we never be like this! May we always exalt and proclaim Jesus as the King of Kings.

May this Palm Sunday remind us of our pilgrimage on earth and how only the love of Jesus can sustain and save us on this journey.

Palm Sunday is a day to reflect: are we exhorting Jesus and, at the same time, stoning him? May we always be faithful to our Lord!

May this Palm Sunday remind us that the kingdom of Jesus is not here, in this world, but in eternity next to God!

The king of all kings rode into Jerusalem on a colt and cheered by those who would turn their backs on him. Jesus, teach us humility and loyalty, which is never priceless!

Palm Sunday is a reminder of the eternal life that God promises us, the remission of our sins and the only way to Him: Jesus!

Jesus was humble until the last moment. May we all be like that, for true happiness is not on this earth, in the promises of men and in the gold that shines, but in eternal life. Happy Palm Sunday!

The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem riding on a colt invites us to reflect that the true Lord is humble and welcomes everyone even so! Happy Palm Sunday.

Hosanna to all people, to all peoples and to all those who have faith, for it is through her that we are saved and live eternal life free from sins. Happy Palm Sunday!
