Becoming a mother is one of the best experiences in life. Having the opportunity to watch your baby grow is exciting and intriguing. These are some of the achievements that your little one will achieve during the first year of life. Write it down and prepare the camera to capture every moment.
For your baby, the first year of life will be an adventure, so awesome.club compiled a list of 20 things your little one will do during this time.
1. It will lift its head
When the baby is newborn, it is better to hold his head so that he does not get hurt. From the third week onwards, some begin to lift their chins and may even turn the back of their heads. Between seven and eight months, the neck muscles have already developed, which means that, when sitting, it can support the weight of the head without any problems.
2. Will make eye contact
Although the vision is somewhat blurred at birth, the baby makes eye contact with the mother from the first time he sees her. At this age, he can focus on objects between 20 and 30 centimeters away (roughly the distance he is kept when his mother is feeding him). That’s why it will be easy to distinguish facial features like eyebrows, eyes and mouth.
3. Will communicate
Another thing that the baby will do from day one is communicate. Although he does not formulate prayers, through crying he will “inform” if he is hungry, cold or in pain. As he gets older, he’ll imitate sounds until eventually he starts saying a few words.
4. Will learn to sit
When he starts to master his own movement, he will start to change positions on his own. After learning to sit down, he will have to keep his balance. The first few times can cost a little, so it’s recommended to let them practice on a soft surface.
5. Will smile
Sometimes newborns smile, but this happens involuntarily, it is simply a reaction of their nervous system. However, after the sixth week, the mother’s voice may start to make the baby smile again.
6. Will change your diet
During the first few weeks of life, the baby should be fed only breast milk. After six months, you can start introducing new foods so he can try different flavors. Remember that they must be soft, because at this age the child does not yet have teeth for chewing.
7. It will distinguish people
In the first months, the baby will only be able to recognize his mother. This is due to the bond that both have had since day one. But after nine months, he’ll start to identify the people he knows, which is why he’ll probably cry when a stranger takes him in his arms.
8. Your teeth will come in
This is one of the most annoying stages for a baby. When the teeth start to come in, they itch, so the child tends to cry a lot during this period. Around the sixth month, the first teeth begin to emerge, usually in the lower gum. It’s good to buy teethers or arrange for home remedies.
9. Will start to scroll
While the muscles are developing, your baby will try to roll over to face down or face up until eventually he can do the full turn. This is a step forward in your evolution and will start to happen after three or four months. But you should be careful, because during attempts he can fall out of bed or crib.
10. Will crawl
Once he starts to develop muscles, the baby will want to go out and explore without mom or dad’s guidance. Most start crawling at nine months, but there are babies who can start a little earlier or later, it will all depend on the evolution of each one.
11. Will analyze
From the age of three months, the baby will begin to follow the things that catch his attention. From the age of nine, he will use his little hands and mouth to try to identify all the objects at his disposal.
12. Will play
Through play, babies learn faster to analyze the environment and, when they are six months old, they begin to interact more with the people around them. Colorful and sounding toys are usually the ones that attract the most attention.
13. You will have greater coordination
At first, the little one is a little clumsy because he has no control over his little body. Many of his movements are involuntary, but as he grows older he will have more control over his actions. Little will be able to coordinate them, like putting food in the mouth or passing something from one hand to another.
14. Will chew
When the teeth start to come in, the baby will start to chew. This usually happens after nine months. You can start by giving him small pieces of food to make digestion easier.
15. Will be able to stand up
After perfecting the art of crawling, the little one will have enough strength to get up. In the beginning, he will need someone’s help or he will cling to something, but in the end he will be able to stand on his own feet.
16. Will wave
Babies learn by mimicking the behaviors of people they observe and the positive reactions they receive. Between six and seven months, they can say hello with the little hand and will almost always do so waiting for someone to respond.
17. Will interact
The first person the baby will interact with is the mother. As the months pass, she will start to do this on her own. This you will notice when you hear him babbling or making hand gestures. At nine months, the child will already have preferences among the people around him, particularly those who care for him.
18. Will identify sounds
The ear develops faster than the eye, which is why babies recognize their mother’s voice from the first few weeks. However, when they are ten months old, they really start to like the different sounds.
19. Will find out
Between ten and eleven months, the baby will already be able to formulate several words and, even at this stage, not only will he speak, but he will understand the meaning of some of the things he says. In addition, the child will start to make discoveries about the things that surround him and will exercise his curiosity to find out more about the environment.
20. Will walk
Undoubtedly, one of the most exciting moments for parents is when their child takes the first steps. At eleven or twelve months, he will start to walk, at first with help or holding onto a piece of furniture, but eventually he will be able to do it on his own.
